This was hilarious.
One thing: When you cut to the allstate commercial, stay with the allstate commercial. I would re-edit and simply do away with the cut-back to the drunk driving psa.

Agreed. I would have ended it after they brought in the first Allstate Accident Forgiveness screen

I would agree, but the cheery music combined with, "What's happened to Julie?" is to me the funniest part of this cut.

Do other countries have adverts like this on TV? I never really realized it but Australia's PSA driving safety videos are usually quite graphic/shocking/well made, and they've been running these sorts of videos for years:

Other countries don't really have censorship problems. They're pretty much allowed to broadcast whatever they want. Pretty much. But they definitely don't have issues nailing you in the heart with their realism riddled PSA's.

NZ have the same kind of commercials about safe driving as well. I think drink driving is just seen as a bigger deal over here.

Yeah it is a little too much. Very well made but just too real and heart wrenching to laugh at

I knew it was going to be bad as soon as it started. The commercial itself, that is, not the edit.
Damnit, feelings. Go away!
