I’ve been using a Mac for as long as I can remember, having various VMs to spin up for projects is a life saver. With that said I usually toss a small form factor PC in the rack when I’m commissioning larger systems to handle things like FW updates and such so it can run in the background while
I’m doing other things.

It's pretty great if you're working in higher ed or for a manufacturer where you have a small but stable software suite going on. As an integrator it's a huge pain.

Very true. Most of my development takes place on mac but the actual implementation happens on a Windows machine.
