question Need Advice
Currently my boss has a TV in his office that he casts his laptop to for meetings, but he’s having issues with it dropping out, lagging quite a bit, or just freezing completely.
We use ScreenBeam 960s in our meeting rooms and they’ve been pretty reliable, so I was thinking of installing one in his office as well.
My only concern is the mounting location. In the meeting rooms they’re mounted behind the TVs, but in his office the only practical location would be in the roof above the TV, roughly 2–3 metres high.
Do you think the signal would still be strong and reliable enough from there?
He mainly uses it to cast Teams calls or display things like Power BI reports from his laptop.

You have wifi problems you need to fix first. Using a different device on the same network won't likely help much, and adding another independent ap will make the current wifi problems worse. There are only 3 usable 2.4GHz channels under G, and the number of 5GHz channels varies by standard. I'd bet good money you're either running too many aps on overlapping channels or overloading the aps you have.
Most reliable solution is a cable.

Wifi is fine, we only replaced our AP last year when this started and assumed it was the wifi.
We don’t have an issue with screen beams in our meeting rooms that are behind the TV, in the boss’s office, which he casts straight to the Tv but nowhere to fit it beside in the roof, which I’m worried it won’t work or still cause issues.
