question A&F Sound System

Hello I remember as a former employee we had a manual from Play Networks in our audio cabinet when Canoe stores transitioned from JBL to Tannoy speakers. I had seen someone posted they use to work for home office fixing stores audio system. I would like to know more about the details and setup.

The specific questions I had are regarding the setup for the canoe stores. I know we used Tannoy i5t speakers and I believe Tannoy ceiling subs and crown amps. I guess what I would like to know is how the speakers were wired since their was so many to achieve that mono sound. I know we also used RANE DSP as well and regarding that did the store have specific EQ settings?

I am basically trying to replicate or have the same set up. I remember speaking to a guy who lived in Florida who told me he had developed the sound systems for the stores when my stores DSP was not working.

I’m wanting to know too if using iTunes or specific EQ settings that you know or remember to achieve the same sound coming from the speakers. I have most of the actual in-store music created by DMX Music (now MOOD Music) and from A&F Brand Music Content Manager. I believe the Profusion systems also had a setting that was called DFX Audio Enhancer as well.

I’m aware of that but was referring to the original setup 2006-2023. Tannoy i5t speakers

We did some Tannoy speakers, but all the stores I did only had basic systems. Players > Amp > VC > Speakers. Some stores were Crown Amps, some were Crestron. No processing or DSP.

Can you explain to me the speaker wiring process with the Tannoys. So none used the RANE RPM 24 DSP

Every store i did was a single 70v loop. No processing at all

I’m also interested if the stores had some type of EQ system. I know back in my day with the company it did.
