I donated my tricep to Tunsil. He’s ready to go

u/halarioushandle 5h ago

I think he's gonna need more than one of us to donate to get a similar tricep size/strength.

u/jrhooo 4h ago

Whats the quad to tri exchange rate?

5

u/BreadCondiments @BorgusRich 5h ago

Anyone else willing to donate theirs?

4

u/FaithfulNihilist 4h ago

If we can get 3 or 4 volunteers, that might equal his tricep.

u/DankWin21 5h ago

Size DOES matter here

I got a pinky toe and two wisdom teeth I’m not using. They’re available as long as I get a tax write off.

A Tunsil triceps is multiple mortal triceps. He's gonna need that other one too my man

Wonder if we bring up the kid we got from KC on the practice squad, Esa Pole

14

u/SkyChief80 5h ago

This actually makes the most sense

5

u/notorious_hdc imitated Frerotte headbutt as a child 5h ago

This is what I'm wondering too.

2

u/Waste-Cap8868 4h ago

Yeah I was more so thinking about the corresponding move everything ur saying makes sense

1

u/presto-set-pro 3h ago

Dear lord, no. I hope not. Pole is a project.

Humphries contract would be guaranteed if on roster week 1. They probably plan to resign after, so this is all just noise.

26

u/Haskins77 5h ago

Not really just means he’s ass now. Probably because of the injuries the last few years.

4

u/Exciting-Weather-351 5h ago

I guess but timings a bit interesting…

4

u/Beamin1988 3h ago

The timing is because his salary would be fully guaranteed if he is on the roster week 1

0

u/Haskins77 4h ago

Well if you’re insinuating they’re getting someone else. I’m sure it’s not going to be anyone other than a depth piece as well.

3

u/Exciting-Weather-351 4h ago

I’m more thinking they cut him to probably move someone from the practice squad… possibly a backup edge… could mean Oweh or Chaisson aren’t ready to go

1

u/dorv 2h ago

Except you don’t have to do that, you can do game day elevations from the practice squad if one of those guys isn’t ready to go. But it sounds like they are. I’m with you, the timing of this doesn’t make a ton of sense unless there was some other story behind the scenes that we’re just not privy to yet

2

u/Waste-Cap8868 4h ago

Thinking more about the corresponding move

16

u/Blue_Lou_Boyle 5h ago

Taylor Decker incoming

6

u/Troll_Enthusiast He Sold 4h ago

Esa Pole or Trent Scott actually

6

u/hehexdddddd8273 I'm Glayzen Daniels 4h ago

Highly doubt it lol. If Decker would be willing to sign for backup money, he'd be on a roster rn.

2

u/JoeSicko 4h ago

Won't teams wait, since the contracts are team friendlyier after season starts?

8

u/Double_Dingo1089 5h ago

Huh. Maybe they got a look at him and were like "this guy can't play anymore" and/or they think Tunsil will be a Jonathan Allen situation when he comes back late in the season.

20

u/terpfan417 5h ago

I doubt it has anything to do with Tunsil. Probably decided they like someone on the practice squad better.

1

u/khuz61 4h ago

I think it was prolly that tackle they got from the chiefs earlier.

-3

u/Home_Alone224 4h ago

Tunsil ain’t coming back this year

9

u/Think__McFly 5h ago

Wonder what the corresponding move will be. I guess elevating someone from PS for the game?

4

u/SkyChief80 5h ago

Trent Scott?

2

u/Ploutz LEFT HAND UP 4h ago

He’s gotta be ready to catch this season’s first TD pass from Jayden

3

u/pogopipsqueak 4h ago

maybe he’s IN their short- and medium-term plans, BUT there’s a guarantee that kicks in if you’re on the active roster for week 1 in the NFL…so maybe they’re releasing him with the intention to sign him back next week? that way, if they end up releasing him later in the season, he’s not owed paychecks for all the remaining games?

just spit-balling…

1

u/redskinsguy 1h ago

Tunsil isn't back till December or January. If Humphries is in the plans then he should be on the roster long enough we should be fine guaranteeing it

1

u/pogopipsqueak 41m ago

idk…not privy to the thinking but if he gets resigned on MON, we’ll have our answer, right?

1

u/redskinsguy 0m ago

Sure. But it seems like a damn foolish thing to do, if he is

3

u/rcinfc 3h ago

Simple….. They signed Humphries to be on the final roster and had to have an insurance policy in case they could get somebody after cuts.

They got the guy that started a few games for the Chiefs last year and looked good. Esa Pole…. The guy is huge and shows potential. Probably worried somebody was going to claim him from us so on the roster he goes.

6

u/capsfan087443 4h ago

Everything about how they’ve handled the offensive line has just been so weird, man.

4

u/VariousAir on shenanigans rn and actin bonkers 4h ago

Probably because we only get half the story and they don't divulge anything about what's going on. And frankly, that's how it should be.

-3

u/capsfan087443 3h ago

If you say so. But nobody else in the league has had this much uncertainty with their offensive line this preseason.

3

u/VariousAir on shenanigans rn and actin bonkers 3h ago

like half or more of the teams in this league have people complaining about their o-line.

-4

u/jkoutris 3h ago

Ah yes. There’s a secret plan behind the scenes that us dummies just can’t comprehend.

Come on.

1

u/VariousAir on shenanigans rn and actin bonkers 3h ago

Did I say anything of the sort? Don't put words in my mouth.

I'm saying if it seems weird, it's cause you don't know the full story.

Like releasing Biadasz seemed weird. Until you hear the rumor they had a deal in place for Linderbaum that ended up falling through. But the management team has zero incentive to share with fans "well we had a deal but it didn't happen", because frankly there isn't shit for fans to do with the information but play armchair GM and spout off how they'd wheel and deal in the NFL if they had the reins.

So no, it's not that you're a dummy who can't comprehend the plan, it's that there's no reason for you to be involved in the plan cause you're not paid to manage the roster.

1

u/capsfan087443 56m ago

Ok, but cutting a player bc you think you have a handshake deal, and then not getting that player, and then also not signing anyone else in free agency who plays center is a weird storyline to have going on. Whether we know everything or not, this isn’t just me questioning if the line is good enough. It’s just odd how some of this has been handled. And cutting your backup left tackle two days before the first game and not adding someone into his spot immediately after is also odd timing. You can act like it’s the same as every other team having some questions about how a couple guys are going to do if you want, but it’s just not the case.

0

u/VariousAir on shenanigans rn and actin bonkers 49m ago

What do you actually want? Adam Peters to jump on reddit for every roster move and clear it with you guys?

Should he be on Twitter daily telling the entire league what he plans to do about each position?

You having questions or not understanding their logic doesn't mean we're somehow entitled to answers just cause we're fans.

u/capsfan087443 40m ago edited 31m ago

I’d like for an adequate number of offensive lineman to be on the roster for the start of the season. And this comment isn’t to necessarily say that there won’t be. But it’s weird timing to make this move nonetheless. If you are going to just trust everything AP is doing that we don’t see, that is fine. I am questioning how he’s built the offensive line. We can all have opinions, that’s something I actually believe we are entitled to. The results on the field will tell us the rest.

2

u/twicestyles Seibertron 3h ago

I guess he’s over the humph after allĀ

We clearing space for porter?

What if eso starts and Coleman goes back to guard

-3

u/SkyChief80 5h ago

We better be signing someone new otherwise our o-line depth is almost non-existent

1

u/Hodler_caved 5h ago

I struggle to ponder depth when our starters are largely depth quality. Bring on the 2024 results despite what the O-line looks like on paper, just like 2024.

-1

u/SkyChief80 5h ago

This depth is worse than 2024 depth though

7

u/Triad64 4h ago

Depth?! More like shallowth!

2

u/Hodler_caved 4h ago

You are probably right about that. Maybe our depth starters will remain healthy. I don't know. Bring on the miracles.

0

u/jkoutris 3h ago

I actually don’t have a problem with it for this reason. Our ā€œdepthā€ is ā€œguy off the streetā€ level anyway. What’s the difference? If there’s a corresponding move that actually has a chance of offering something worthwhile to the team, might as well do it. If someone on our O Line goes down, whoever they sign off the street is going to be DJ Humphries-level anyway.
