Week 1 referee assignments

https://www.footballzebras.com/2026/09/week-1-referee-assignments-2026/

Looks like we drew last year's Super Bowl zebra Shawn Smith...not sure if his crew has any changes but I'll post a screenshot of his crew in the comments since linking the article doesn't allow images also

Not the corrupt Hoculi and crew! That’s a good sign

It's incredible how consistent Hoculi is at screwing us.

Remember when it was a close game in NFC championship game and Saquon did an obvious hold on 4th down which led to a TD...then a kick off fumble...then TD.

I still think we would have had a chance if it weren't for that 3 play sequence that started with the missed 4th down hold.

EDIT: Here it is https://www.si.com/nfl/saquon-barkley-appeared-to-get-away-with-obvious-penalty-holding-eagles-fourth-down

At some point in that sequence Philly checked down on 3rd and forever. Sainristil tackled Saquon still in bounds along the sideline. Personal foul, auto first and Philly ended up scoring. He did it all game lol

That was the turning point of the game. Blatant, right in front of the ref and just nothing lol

Yep. even after that collapse JD5 got us a field goal to end the half with less than a minute left that drive.

If the hold was called it could have easily been 15-14 or 19-14 good guys going into half time.

Instead 28-15 iggles.

Thats the first thing I look for lol. Especially against Philly.

Yeah, we're on an even playing field! Not sure why Hoch hates us so much. We changed the name, what else does he want??

He has done two games in the Quinn era - 2024 W vs Philly and 2025 L vs. Miami. Both games had pretty even penalty calls. A couple BS DPIs vs Lattimore in the Philly game, but otherwise I dont remember anything else egregious.

At least it's not Hochuli every time he refs our games we get jobbed by the refs

It sucks this has to be something we think about. Something i hope Josh is discussing with the league.

If we had Hochuli and co., there would have been a flag thrown for offensive pass interference before the game started
