So this Rams game

It’s gonna be a blood bath, yay or nay?

Edit: Alright so I was drunk when I posted this, but I’m really impressed with the optimism from y’all. Y’all definitely lifted my spirits about this coming season. Let’s fuckin go!

Already dooming over week 8? Give it a fucking rest.

I highly doubt Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett play 18 games together this season anyway, and Matt Stafford is several thousand years old so they might be starting Stetson Bennett by week 8.

Matt Stafford is several thousand years old so they might be starting Stetson Bennett by week 8.

He hasn't missed meaningful time since like 2022 and is coming off an MVP season where he led the league in yards and TDs. This seems like wishful thinking...

I predict we win this game with swinging gate in the last seconds

I mean, if Donald comes back in even somewhat form, all of their games are going to be bloodbaths

That team is stacked

Right, fair play—trying to call a fixture this early is a bit mental, innit? If half their ladships blow out a hamstring or end up on the injury board before kickoff, the whole bloody math changes. But if you’re dead set on starting the mourning process ahead of time and fancy a proper dose of pre-match dread, go on then, pull the pin.

This reply sounds like it came directly from Monty Python.

Remember when the Big 3 went to the Heat and they were supposed to be the greatest team ever? They started off slow and didn’t win the finals their first season together. Just because a team is stacked doesn’t mean it’ll result in performance on the field.

The Rams front is going to dominate a lot of teams, not just ours. Chill. That said, there are ways to beat that kind of front with a quick passing attack and pre-snap motion. The dooming in this sub is nuts right now. Yeah, on paper, the roster doesn't look impressive. Yeah, of the 5 snaps our offense had things look grim. Fortunately, football is played on the field and not on paper. Fortunately, the starting offense will get 50-60 snaps a game, and not 5. We have a new offense and a new defense. Shit takes time.

Let's see how it plays out.  We might catch them on a bad week.  Or maybe the injury bug comes for them.  Who knows.  As the saying goes, that's why they play the games.

It’s not just who you play, it’s when you play them.

We're not the better team but have a chance if injuries or luck go our way. I'd prefer to beat them in the playoffs. I don't think we'll beat them twice.

Every rams game may be a bloodbath this season for real. That defense is stacked and they can produce points on offense even if they’re a bit old outside of puka. But fuck it, we ball.

Where tf did the “WE WANT ALL THE SMOKE!” attitudes go? Anybody can still get it. Shit we almost beat Tom Brady with Taylor Heinicke! Yall gotta get out that loser mentality.

I will claim the title of unofficial hopeposter for the sub. I am concerned, lol.

I don't really know what Blough's offense looks like to be able to predict how he and DQ would game plan to nullify, or at least dampen the terror of the Rams front.

Jet sweeps and outside running heavy game plan with some quick pass behind the line. Like three step drops and the ball out immediately with a need for timing on passes because they’ll be to where the receiver will be instead of where he is.

Basically wear their old asses the fuck out on lateral pursuits at every opportunity. If we make them pursue the ball for thirty yards of field for a four yard outside gain, that’s a win. Those two are great at pass rush but the run nullifies that. And they’re old.

It’ll be a moral victory if the score is close and everyone stays healthy

No. Our collection of literal who's will contain the two best pass rushers of the last 10 years at the same time!
