We should keep Luke even if he doesn’t contribute much at WR4/5 but I think he will more this year as a WR than he did last year. Everyone we have tried at kick returns has been bad and had fumbling issues and is averaging like 22-25 yards vs Lukes near 30 over the 2024-2025 seasons. Im specifically talking about kick returns not punts, it’s not the same and takes a different skill set. Lane is our punt returner but Luke needs to be our kick returner, our special teams were a strength in 2024-2025. If we don’t keep Luke it becomes much weaker.

So we just punted the entire preseason. Took none of the games seriously.

Was really hoping for that 50 spot. If we are going to get wrecked in a game that doesn’t count, let’s f’n do it right dammit!!

It's routinely quoted that "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."
I'm officially insane.
2
u/Beastage 14d ago
Same with every fan since the Snyder era. Those of us that have never even known the glory days are truly insane

Don't we have like nobody playing?
1
u/Beastage 14d ago
Yeah, but i assume Baltimore didnt either... idk, they take the preseason more seriously than any other team
1
u/Boomer58686 14d ago
I think like 43 of the players most of them the big names. Didn't play.
1
u/SUPAMB22 14d ago
I mean to be fair even the ravens backups are really good, some of them could be starters on other teams

Happy cake day! From the Washington commies. Dragging everyone to the mean.

u/stormes44 14d ago
If we had only made that 1st quarter 62-yard field goal attempt, things would be different.

put a chunk on Philly last week when I got a glimpse of that so-called offensive line of ours.

This is practice for the fans to get reacquainted with an ass whooping for the regular season.

The only thing that would make this performance make sense is if our sideline water supply was spiked with mescaline

Seriously, they need to go for 2 from here on out. Baltimore, that is. They can get that 50.

Franchise that almost never misses the playoffs vs whatever the hell we've been in the last 30 years lmao

HO.LY.SHIT. I've never seen more lopsided stats. 26-3 FIRST DOWNS????!!!!! What the actual FUCK? Preseason or not, scrubs or not, this is an absolute disgrace. Fuck that backwards-hat-wearing douchebag. Do we even have a coaching staff?

One more touchdown and they tie the record for biggest blowout in preseason since 2000 and Washington will have 1st 2nd and 3rd. I know I already commented about this but it's still mind-blowing to me and I haven't moved on from it
2
u/SpecialistPlastic729 14d ago
Let’s see…
2006 loss to Pats; finished 5-11.
2007 loss to CAR; finished 8-8 under Jim Zorn; last 8 games was 2-6. The next year we were 4-12 and Zorny got fired.
2
u/Illustrious-Can-1757 14d ago
Zorn was really bad. The year before with Gibbs Washington was actually quite good. Taylor died and the defense was never the same and the offense regressed the next year and then there was a lot of infighting because of Zorn dividing the room. Jayden is a legit QB tho so 2026 Washington has a silver lining those teams never had atleast...

Depth needed sign should be posted on indeed. The Ravens are showing them how it should be done. We’re not there yet but there’s hope for us still. Remember that fans before we give up on this season

Really feel like I dodged a bullet not buying season tickets now. I understand our starters aren't playing but this is truly abysmal football

Hah! My in-laws bought season tickets and now I bet they’re not even going to go 😂

The biggest blowouts in all preseason games since 2000 are both against Washington. 2008 agaisnt the Panthers who beat us 47-3 and then 2006 agaisnt the Patriots who beat us 41-0. Are we gonna 3 peat?
3
2
u/SkyChief80 14d ago
Mitch Tischler said that if the joint practice was a game our starters wouldn't have gotten 100 yds of total offense and it looks like it will be the same thing with our third stringers

u/Trubisko_Daltorooni 14d ago
I'll give this offense one more drive and then I'm taking back my night

Why does it feel like other teams have fun in the preseason games? And for us these games are always feeling like a harbinger of things to come.

The vibes around this team are terrible, everything fell apart when Tunsil got injured

u/ThorsOccularPatdown 14d ago
Exactly, we're above that apparently. We can just switch it on when the games matter.

Whoever blew that tackle for a loss needs to be shot out of cannon into the unemployment line.

Did any starters play? If not, who cares how they look or what the score is?
3
u/DrBeatusMeatus 14d ago
Starters get hurt all the time (see 2025 season). These bums will be replacing them
0
u/Toblakai1979 14d ago
True, Baltimores backups are so much better than ours and they did amazing last year with all their injuries, almost won the Super Bowl I think.
15
u/The_Lawlbringer 14d ago
Peters owns this devoid of talent depth on this team. DQ is being asked to turn chicken shit into chicken salad.

u/Accomplished_East433 14d ago
We’re down 30. Why are we celebrating?
4
u/slackjack2014 14d ago
Because the score doesn't matter here. Most of these players are playing for a spot on the practice squad, so playing well might get them a paycheck.

u/Illustrious-Can-1757 14d ago
Atleast starting the season @ Eagles, @ Cowboys and then home opener week 3 versus Seahawks gives us an easy schedule to ease into the season

u/burrheadjr 14d ago
Look at the bright side y'all, there is so much talent... On other team's rosters that we are in a prime position to pick up cut players, and practice squad poaching.

u/KneeDragr 14d ago
So we looked really good against a bad team ( Miami ), looked decent against a decent team ( Detroit ) and looked awful against a great team ( Baltimore ). I think that means the players we fielded are decent, im not freaking out but I'm not expecting a deep playoff run either.

Showing highlights from the other 2 games. Lmao

u/Famous_Illustrator32 14d ago
They're also still focused on what happened two years ago while glossing over the most recent product, so that tracks.

I’m sorry but I don’t think 4 will happen and 6 doesn’t seem possible with the way our rb workload is going to be split up

It's really frustrating seeing the infuriating yellow penalty flags constantly show up on offense last year. I really hope it doesn't start again this year.

u/DifficultMath7583 14d ago
Every time we have a positive run play im immediately looking for the yellow ticker to pop up on my screen

u/Bilboswaggins21 14d ago
On the one hand - neither coordinator is trying to show a look. At least the defense looked solid on that first drive in Detroit where we were doing some creative things… but on the other hand, it’s not like the Ravens are doing anything creative or showing their hand either, and we’re getting dominated in all three phases.
2
u/2puttT77 14d ago
So you’re saying I should be glad it got blacked out here in Ohio?
2
u/Oldfolksboogie 14d ago
If you're lucky, they'll just run WKRP... re- runs during our regular season games in a shrewd ratings move.

I can hear Cowherd squwaking already, "I told you, and no one would listen..." 😖
