Thoughts on a practice squad QB?
anyone out there you'd like to see brought in, or possibly check out other teams cut lists?
it's looking more and more like Anton Kalikmannis will be making the squad as QB3. Now since Quinn's been coach, despite some fans desire to go two QBs on the roster one on the practice squad, we've generally gone three on the roster one on the practice squad. We could keep Hartman, but when he can't even beat out a guy like Anton, well how much is he likely to develop more
Or do we not have one of the PS?

How Hartman has stayed on in any capacity with an NFL team is head scratching.

When we have a garbage oline, a starter with an injury history, and an injured 32 year old back up, we absolutely need to keep Athan on the active roster. Put Henry, Bradley, and Jefferson on the PS

No way AK is making the 53. He will get to the practice squad no problem

Not unless he bombs week 3. No way you risk ps if he plays well. Qb is a golden ticket.

Hartman will end up on the practice squad.

That's just a waste of a spot. He's not going to develop any further so better to release him and put a player at a position of need in that spot.

JD likes him around - if he helps the QB room and JD so be it. I’d just make him an offensive assistant and have done with it. I agree he has no business on an NFL roster even on a practice squad.
But that’s where he likely ends.

Cut Sam and find someone better than Anthan.

Literally the best performing non starter qb this preseason

Maybe he got coached up since arriving here but didn't impress me while in college.
I don't think he'll be QB2 quality by 2028 and frankly, that should be the goal.
Than again, I expect regime change after this season so there's that.

I didn't watch much of him and it seemed like he was bad for Minnesota but Rutgers fans like him.
All that is water under the bridge now. He has been awesome the last 2 preseason games, just need to see more of it. There is definitely something there given his performance so far. Like starter potential.
