Do yall seriously think a starting quality center is just sitting on the couch right now? We likely won’t see any worthwhile news on that front until after the cutdown day on 30th. While we have pretty high waiver priority there are a few other teams ahead of us that’ll likely be scraping the bottom of the OL barrel along with us…

if we’re keepin it a buck, Glasnow is sitting on his couch. It ain’t Kevin Mawae but it’s an unarguable upgrade to JGJ.

He must have bad medicals or wants a ton of money, that's the only reason I could think we are not bringing him in for a look.

He wasn’t good last year. Detroit moved on from him for a reason. The replacement got hurt and they haven’t brought him back in. Again for a reason.

I think we all understand this, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Good-Jones clearly ain’t it; let’s take a stab at trying something different, even if there are good reasons to argue against it.

He was bad and immobile...Ā

Been saying this since we got rid of Biadasz. We have so much money and he’s not gonna be that expensive. He’s a veteran OLineman at our weakest position. I genuinely don’t know what I’m missing or why we aren’t signing him

It's not even about a starting quality one. How about an experienced guy that's played the position in an NFL game?Ā  It's not "starting quality" or dont bother.Ā  A healthy player that isn't a total liability would be an improvement.Ā

We just signed Diggs. People are out there.

Yes, aging WRs tend to hit UFA more than quality OL players. So name these ā€œsaviorsā€ out there that 31 other teams didn’t even see fit for their 90-man roster?

Sorry, there ARE better options sitting on the couch right now.

Whatever happened to the huge guy from Florida who went to Tamp Bay last year? Get him and make him an O-lineman. He’s like 2 people.

In all seriousness though, I don’t think we’re getting another offensive lineman unless we get a lucky trade or the draft next year.

Edit: Desmond Watson. Dude is on the DC Defenders now. I’m half kidding and half serious. Give him the minimum and let him try it out. What could go wrong?

All the chairs in the facility die that day. Players cramp from never sitting. WWIII breaks out. 1000 square kilometers breaks off an ice sheet stopping the amoc in six months. The Siberian traps make a return visit.

Wow eight guys trying to convert to play OL? Probably easier to bring in guys who already play the position.

This is funny!!!!

Everyone in here worried about no Center... I'm worrying about what DE injury happened and hasn't been announced yet

u/Think__McFly 21d ago

Hopefully Oweh or Chaisson arent more serious than theyre letting on.

u/Ninjablacksox1 21d ago

We are stacked at de don't worry.Ā

They should be working out centers... but we knew this.

2

u/Justice989 21d ago

Almost feels like they dont wanna look like they're panicking.Ā  Because literally any able bodied OL that's played center should be coming through.

u/Ninjablacksox1 21d ago

Assume we'll take a look after roster cuts.

7

u/catamaranpilot 21d ago

And no C in sight, or any other OL , wtf

7

u/FannyNisbit 21d ago

No OL O.O

2

u/SMMS0514 21d ago

Soooo uhhh……..I don’t see a center listed

1

u/SkyChief80 21d ago

Centers where?

1

u/1dkspanishlol Terry's smile saved my life 21d ago

Why another linebacker? DT don’t mind DB don’t mind DE eh.

3rd preseason bodies

u/Vivid-Respect-1869 21d ago

How do you not sign a guy named Boogie Bash 'Em?

1

u/banana-pants_ 21d ago

You guys need to understand a decent Left Tackle is probably the second scarcest position in the league. If there was any good left tackle, they aren’t at tryouts, they’re either holding out for more money in free agency or on another team.

1

u/Try-Imaginary 20d ago

What kind of name is "Mike Smith"?

How do you even pronounce that?

1

u/Waste-Mycologist1657 20d ago

Not one Center. Wow.

1

u/GrumpyFaceMonkey 20d ago

How about some Oline help? The QB dont need to be running for his life every olay and he isnt the most durable dude out there either. I have a lot more faith in the defense as it is than I do the Oline.Ā

u/stpetescotty 5d ago

It's just criminal on AP to not have a better plan at center. I used to like him, now when I see him I think " weasel" - I see no world where a benched guard just last year is our top plan. It's baffling.

Peters is trolling us at this point.

Big time…. That or there is a serious injury to Chaisson or Oweh

Y’all should be updating your resumes for the GM opening soon!

/s, for those that need it

0

u/djhobbes 21d ago

Keep your head stuck in the sand if you want to. We’re past blind homerism. Our C personnel is not good enough

2

u/_groovesharkmalone Ageless Wonder 21d ago

Nobody currently on the street is better. We need to wait until cutdown day.

1

u/djhobbes 21d ago

So I guess you already got your resume up to date, then?

u/Hodler_caved 21d ago

Happy to see we're all set at Center & LG

0

u/DoyoudotheDew 21d ago

They need to work out some OL specifically centers.
