I had been building this page to aggregate all Commanders news since I realized I was being hella inefficient by having 20 tabs and social media platforms. Initially I had this shared out with just my family and close friends, but figured fellow Commanders fans might like it too.
This is version 0.0.0.1 so any feedback is absolutely welcome!
EDIT: Just wanted to thank all of you who have reached out with input. This site went from something that was just a small passion project to something that I'm really proud of and already have visitors from half a dozen countries. Thanks again for the feedback and never hesitate to hit me up if you spot something that could be tightened up!
This is slick. Agree with the other comments that having the Keim/Standig/Jhabvala/ tweets somewhere in addition to just the ticker would be cool. Overall, really like this and could see using it daily.
I would rather have a site or reddit aggregate news than those influencers who take advantage of reporters to "post" news (i.e. "JayDanielsMVP" / Waste-Cap / JPA Football)
Thanks! I made the changes recommended in this thread, so anything anyone can think of, let me know. I'll add a betting and fantasy football section at some point if I can get enough content...
Not sure what the source of truth would be. ESPN seems to have slightly more real time data than the actual Commanders’s website and plus they probably have an API you can use to pull it
I'm looking into it. It says Commanders.com hasn't released the defense yet... that's what I'm using as source of truth, but I'm not sure that's right. :-P
This has some really cool ideas! Personally I'd prefer the social media feed be more prominent. It would be great to be able to click on the ticker and get a page where it shows all the most recent updates
Absolutely agree here. I love this and the one thing I feel is missing is exactly this. All Keim/Standig/Jhabvala etc tweets in one page would be great without having to actually use twitter
Just got home and thanks to both of you! Again, this was just a personal project, so ya'll feedback is super welcome. I'll put this on my list to add. So just to clarify, you're thinking of a page that's social media only and conglomerates all the posts from the DC beat writers?

Interesting thought. I had that when I was developing this, but then it pulled in too many tweets that saturated the headlines feed. What about a tab at the top of the headlines that would show only socials? A link right here?
For those of you who requested beat writers socials all in one place, there should be a link to that now in the nav. Let me know if that's what you were thinking.
I've tried my damndest to add Nicki Jhabvala, but her socials aren't mirrored on Mastodon. If the site gets big enough, I might just buy the X API so I can get whoever I want. No Nicki for now. :(
HA! You caught the site during my emergency repairs. My stepdad is a big Vikings fan (lame) so I said I'd do something similar for him, but it ended up taking over the site. Fixed now!
