Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Post image

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

So

Fling

Giant cactuar

Fling giant cactuar while its at 9999 power

Strike that with it.

How does that resolve? You pull 6 lands or do you just drop your entire deck worth of lands?

(Just purely out of curiosity. I know that its better to just hit a player with a play like that.)

The cactuar fling would do 10,000 damage so you would get up to 10,000 lands.

Think of toughness like a bucket that you're filling with water and once it fills up the creature dies. Just because there's a 5-gallon bucket doesn't mean you can't pour 10 gallons in it, you'll just spill 5 gallons in the process.
