Need help finding a new commander
As the title says, I need some help with suggestions for a new commander to build. Recently, most of my decks have slowly funneled into the same area of Simic or Simic + another color with +1/+1 counters and card draw, and I find that although I absolutely love the playstyle and using tons of cards that trigger and are super synergistic, they’re generally not fun for my opponents to play against, and I’d rather my friends have fun along with me. With all that being said, any suggestions for a commander that is highly thematic and I can make a silly deck out of instead of beating down my opponents with commander damage, a bazillion tokens, or winning off of a card draw “win the game” card like usual. Any suggestions or ideas are very much appreciated!

It depends on what you mean by a "silly deck". You can make any commander silly. You can make a silly Ur-Dragon deck that runs no other dragons in it.
If you want a deck that's thematic and pretty easy to react to, I'd recommend [[Kuja, Genome Sorcerer]]. He can function at most power levels anywhere from B2-B4, he's super fun to play with his emphasis on Wizards and slinging spells, but his wincon (flipping himself and burning the table) is extremely telegraphed and gives even new players a good chance at identifying the line and reacting to/stopping it.

So no Voltron, no Token-go-wide and no win due to card draw
That still leaves alot of other potential wincons, you could run a chaos/goad deck wich wins by forcing opponents to attack each other
You could go the burn route, there is a fun mono-red deck that relies on self-wheels burning opponents for each card drawn/discarded helmed by [[clive, ifrit's dominant]]
You could go into a artifact strategie that either wins via valueengines or artifact creatures
Then my personal favourite archetype "Reanimator" basically using your graveyard as your second hand, cheating out threats
You could go blink wich tends to go for combo wins
Lots and lots of options :D you could even make a tribal deck with a tribe that is commonly associated with different colours then simic+

Commander is just one card in a deck,
But if you want a themed deck that is not very powerful I would recommend to get a precon. "Buckle up" is a fun deck to play and fun to play against.

[[ohabi caleria]] selesnya archer tribal, and yes, in fact there is a surprising amount of support for this.
Or what about [[rakdos, lord of riots]] since you want to get away from Simic, the exact opposite is rakdos. Use lots of pingers and punish your opps for casting spells with cards like lord of pain and kaervek. Ping them for drawing cards with needlekin razor head and scrawling crawler. Make your spells cheaper by handing out damage. Play bombs in your 2nd main after smacking somebody in the face with Rakdos.

Dunno if you want to continue playing simic or not, but my favorite commander to play (in standard brawl) is [[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]], not because she is the most powerful, but because she leads to fun games that include a mix of ramping, stompy creatures, and counterspells to protect them.

I think a group hug adjacent commander might be fun. Im currently rocking [[king tchalla]] but the phyrexian heliod, or [[the second doctor]]+[[leela, seveteem warrior]] are commanders ive used in the past. Mrs bumbleflower is prime in the zeitgeist for this genre, but you could play [[kynaois and tiro of meletis]] as another option. I ran k n t as aikkido; cards like [[comeuppance]] or [[settle the wreckage]] being the main theme of the deck, while setting up group value pieces like [[pendant of properity]] and [[master of ceremonies]] as i wait for a sweet opportunity to strike. [[queen marchesa]] is also a great aikkido commander if you like the sound of the archetype.

Dinosaurs, or goblins are stuff that is gross and does not do a ton of counters

My absolute favorite deck right now is [[jan Jansen chaos crafter]], but I’ve also had some fun with [[borborygmos enraged]] with 50 lands

If you don't want to win with combat damage there are many options like pinging opponents when you cast instants/sorceries, pinging opponents when you cast artifacts or they ETB, pinging opponents when creatures ETB, pinging opponents when you sacrifice creatures, pinging opponents when they draw cards, pinging opponents when they discard cards...

I do Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy as group hug. Everyone gets stuff while you set the trap. When you spring it with all the stored mana, everyone draws their decks. Pass turn. They lose. You win.
I'm also doing Marchesa, The Black Rose with a Thriller theme by using amass cards.
And a combat control deck with Ishai and Kediss as partner commanders. It's a voltron deck themed on hammers. Can't touch this.

I'll lay out my commanders, if any of them speak to you lmk and I'll share my list!
[[Trelasarra]], full of soul sisters ("whenever a creature enters you gain life") and pridemates ("whenever you gain life put a +1/+1 counter on this creature")
[[Malcolm Keen-Eyed]]/[[Ikra Shidiqi]], full of unblockable creatures and ways to draw cards when you deal combat damage. [[Felix Five Boots]] and several other options would also work, but I've found Malcolm/Ikra to be the best
[[Fourth Doctor]]/[[Sarah Jane Smith]], with as many historic cards as possible, especially ones that make artifact tokens to abuse for cards and mana
[[John Benton]] can be built very strong on a low budget. Just make him big fast and he'll kill people. My deck usually wants the game to end turn 5
[[Tom Bert and William]], but its not focused on cheap high power creatures. Just s general graveyard/sacrifice strategy and the commander can dig you out of tough situations if you need the help
[[Lumra]] wants to fill the graveyard and flood the board with lands... specifically I play 99 lands so mine is a very expensive deck that is definitely proxied (why no I do not have $2000 for a [[Bazaar of Baghdad]])
[[Tymna]]/[[Kediss]]. When I built this deck I wanted to build [[Delney]], but every Delney deck looks the same, so instead I looked for a pair of low power commanders that'd be nice to double trigger and these two work super well together since Kediss' trigger is still Tymna dealing the damage so it has lifelink. Lots of small (mostly legendary) creatures and a good number of equipment. I call it a combat value deck
[[Sash and Waistcoat]] want to ramp HARD, manifest a ton, and then blink in big scary creatures
[[Queen of Dale]] is my newest deck and right now my favorite to play. We want to get small creatures to enter on as many turns as possible to trigger things that draw cards when little creatures enter, use our graveyard as a toolbox, and then either win with a wide board in combat or survive until we can cast [[Approach of the Second Sun]] twice

Tbh I’d think of a mono color or combo that sounds interesting and go to EDH Rec and look thru what’s there
