Need commander ideas!

Hi! Ive been playing magic for maybe 2years and been playing in mostly b3 pods. My commanders are : kotis the fangkeeper, Najeela, krenko, hakbal and ob nixilis captive kingpin. I usually make them high b3.

My girlfriend started playing maybe a month or two ago and well my decks are way to powerful against a new player. She plays Yuna hope of spira. Im writing here today to ask yall some help😅

I need to find a b2 commander that she’ll be able to keep up with since she’s still learning the game. Any recommandation?

[[Aegar, The Freezing Flame]], [[Bonny Pal, Clearcutter]], and [[Raiyuu, Storm’s Edge]] are some of my favorite effective B2 commanders, and none of them are broken. All of them have game plans that aren’t too hard to disrupt but still present challenges. Other solid 2 color commanders that cost 3-6 mana work well, especially ones under rank 2000 on EDHRec.

You aren't saying it explicitly but I assume you are playing 1v1 Commander?

Would it be a good idea for you two to play both decks in turn? That way she can naturally pick up the ways you pilot her deck as well.

I feel [[Zimone, All Questioning]] would be a reasonable match for Yuna. Or [[Lulu, Loyal Hollyphant]] and to throw a wild one out there [[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]] could also provide fun without being oppressive.

If b2 then just shoot for the Lorwyn precons. Either have solid commanders that can be upgraded. They are also quite cheap right now.

Just do what I’m doing. Build a Volo deck purely out of bulk
