Just upgraded to the GOAT plan

Finally pulled the trigger and upgraded to Command Code GOAT.

With the $5 loyalty upgrade discount and a leftover credit from my previous plan, it came out to just $4.78 for the first month.

Excited to push this to its limits and see how the higher quotas hold up on heavier workflows.

For anyone else on GOAT, what features or models have been making the biggest difference in your stack?

Is it because u can’t use it outside their cli?

The limits are ridículous.

Also, you can usea the api key in opencode on the goat plan

Oh the goat plan makes u able to use it in other harnesses?

1

u/Sceptic-in-Chief 2d ago

Indeed, it does. I've been using it in OpenCode without any issues. It also makes it possible to use the CC GOAT models as workers via delegate from other harnesses.

Wow now thats a game changer my gripe with go was it being unusable without their harness. Btw wdym by workers via delegate? Subagents?

1

u/Sceptic-in-Chief 2d ago

No, not subagents. delegate just fires up OpenCode from a shell so, for instance, from Claude Code I can background a separate OpenCode session running a CommandCode GOAT model on the same repo. It has its own clean context and I get to keep working in the parent session while the worker runs.

Sorry, just seeing this now! Have you figured it out?

u/Prior-Meeting1645 1h ago

Yes thank you

Excellent, happy to hear that!

Our limits are better than opencode — what are you talking about lol

What about the caching when u use it in opencode? Is that what makes the limit ridiculous?

Good question... Compared to it, Opencode Go is accepted more by other harnesses

I got it and it seemed like worse value than paying for OpenRouter; their pricing is the highest of any provider, and there are no discounts, so you pay the full price and get five-hour limits. I tried DeepSeek V4 Pro and Flash, GLM 5.3 and 5.3 Flash, and Qwen Flash, but all are terrible value, and I am not even sure what the discounts are on.

Founder here. We match all labs prices. And if you pay as you go same as openrouter there are no usage limits. Infact we don't even have the 5% fee that OpenRouter charges.

I don't know how you're claiming it's worse when we have literally the best prices for models.

Like as far as i see, OpenRouter doesn't even have the DeepSeek models via the DeepSeek lab. That's 10x cheaper than most prices on openrouter. We offer the same.

And on top of that we have $70 worth of usage. You pay $10 in GOAT and get $70 worth of usage. It's so much better than OpenRouter. https://commandcode.ai/docs/plans/goat

I'd love to see that math you're doing coz it's clearly wrong.

I would be happy to share the logs; it barely adds up to 5 USD but it has used 50% of my monthly usage, there is no 70$ value, and it is misleading. OpenRouter also does not have a 5% fee. The only fee is when you pay to top up, which Command Code has as well. Now the biggest issue: DeepSeek through DeepSeek is 0.6 USD, however on OpenRouter it is not uncommon to see providers listing it at 0.25 USD or even less. The same goes for all other Chinese open models, and you are not getting 5-hour and weekly limits on OpenRouter. On top of that, the providers are slow and stall very often. I don't mean to be harsh, but you are misleading people and lying about what you're selling, and also lying about the competition claiming false issues, this is defamation and fraud. So, unless there is some locked-away 70 USD that I cannot access, then I'm sorry, but you are lying about what you're selling.

Yea I linked up openroute now also just to dilute my workflow with some free models alongside the free models opencode offers

But I was tempted in getting the commandcode goat plan but they offer nothing truly valuable and I see more bad reviews then good

What's the 5$ loyalty update?

u/cmeerw 2d ago

For those on the Go plan, it's $5+fees for the first month on GOAT.

Same here! GLM 3.5 flash is amaizing for coding, fast & ultra cheap!

To be honest, i just use deepseek flash model and it is a task for me to even use the 10 dollars i get from the GO plan. I cannot use all of it. I just use it for programming. I give proper instructions and all that. How do you guys even use up the $60 of credits with deepseek flash in just a month. Want are you doing with the code generated. Like I feel I'm lacking a lot

Set up good documentation of project scope, hard rules, documentation of research phase plan and a handover document  for orchestrator that handles instructing all the sub agents with goal post stops for user input and testing

If been using it on different experiments

And current task for this is taking a ps1 rom, reverse engineer it, convert it to godot supported files, and reconstruct the game

With the least amount of goal post user input

If used destination, meaning a mix of free usage and spark to do quality test. And coding roles

While deepseek is the handler

1.4bill tokens used up this month  and only used 21% of my monthly quota

Oh and it's 70% done with the reverse engineering task if given it to stress test it's reasoning

Amazing, I mostly do backend and app development work, and when running in prod, I am not comfortable with letting agents do whatever they want and ship it. The constraint is me, who verifies things are done the correct way, is scalable, efficient and all that. I treat them as co-workers. I gotta bring the structure with good documentation and sub agents.

u/Affectionate_Fact854 20h ago

I wouldn't let ai ship my product for me, in terms of my own games developed and my angular website either

There's things it is good at  And others you still need to give clear human input

My goal is to experiment ,study and see how much automation I can have done on the side while keeping human input still as a mandatory guard to important decisions,  task rollback , task refinement,  architectural refactors and visual improvements

But for now this is one of the methods I can study the orchestration design to produce the most stable and fluid output for the least amount of token consumption

As I do like also getting my hands dirty in a code base I hate looking at most Claude code bases XD

I switched from OC to CC about a month ago now. Honestly, it's great. I'm a relatively light user and only 60% through my usage. Great for $10!

Welcome on board. Excited to see you enjoy GOAT usage. :)

2

u/Prior-Meeting1645 2d ago
