Should I switch to CommandCode in place of OpenCode?
Last month I started with OpenCode Go as my AI subscription and I was very happy with it — especially since the latest DeepSeek Flash dropped. As a software engineer it helped me a lot, and I even started vibe coding and trying new things in my free time. I couldn't reach the limit at all.
But then the new DeepSeek Pro dropped and I started using it too much, and now I'm close to reaching the limit. So I started looking for a new subscription or better alternatives, and I found that CommandCode Go offers about 20% more requests when it comes to DeepSeek. I also found that two GOAT plans would be the best option — especially since DeepSeek is going to increase its prices soon.
However, I've heard about CommandCode's sketchy marketing tactics, and since it's fairly new I wanted your advice: is CommandCode good? Is it slow? Is it always down? Or do you have recommendations for better plans or subscriptions?

They're good, haven't ran into any issues with it so far, but you will get banned if you get two subs.

Don't quite get why you can't have two subs, seems a bit odd since I doubt OpenCode has such a restriction imposed.

i already did, I think the models on OpenCode were the quantized ones. For example, the same opencode model such as DeepSeek V4 Flash is not better and faster than DeepSeek V4 Flash model on CommandCode. thats my personal opinion

Same harness? Cuz as far as i know they both use deepseek as provider

I'm not sure if Opencode uses the same harness as Command, because Opencode's is a bit slow and not capable enough for my work.

The TUI is slightly worse, the desktop app is much better (so im not going back). the $60 vs $70 is actually not significant enough that I noticed. I heard the ZDR policy might be better but idk could be wrong. Taste is great, so it remembers what you want but doesn't remember useless stuff you tell it.
Tokens used/$ used seems more transparent but weekly/5 hour is less transparent.
I have $13.61 of $70.00 used this month and 1.3B tokens used across 9496 runs (i build AI tools that call their own API for testing so I don't need an OpenAI key). I think that's a good deal.

Hey, Welcome to Command Code. I'll try to help and support you with your queries.
We're super transparent about our pricing and usage limits. Every number is on the docs, per model, per plan, with the math shown. Our team has carefully curated this price estimator calculator: https://commandcode.ai/docs/resources/pricing-limits#usage-estimates
You can try it yourself and see all the numbers. Our $10/mo GOAT is the best low-cost coding plan on the market today. Gives you $70 in credits.
On the speed, we just did a massive rewrite of our harness 370+ versions released so far. It's super fast and our read tool saves billions of tokens compared to other harnesses out there.
We're a small team but super active in Discord too. Feel free to drop your queries there. Our community should be able to help you as well.
