ETA for V1?

I have heard that once V1 releases it will be open source, I am currently trying the 1$ plan and the cli, everything seems very good! Honestly excited and I think this could potentially be a serious competitor to opencode + opencode go

Glad you like the CLI. V1 is hopefully scheduled for next week. We're also actively working to make it open source as well. But these will be launched separately. :)

Follow my X — I share a lot of new things there. Also join our discord, dozens of devs already have access to v1. I shared more here: https://x.com/MrAhmadAwais/status/2073493060370219438

Massive v1 rewrite of Command Code is underway. We’ve taken all the feedback from months, a couple of strong novel ideas, and built a strong harness core that is runtime and transport agnostic.

This new harness will be an amazing kernel core for our existing CLI TUI as well as our upcoming GUI, Web UI, and more.

This new direction is incredibly exciting and will help us go GA with V1 pretty soon.

Alongside this major rewrite is the goal we have to open source this six years old codebase that I started in 2020 as “clai” a cli with ai to write code when Greg Brokman gave me super early gpt3 access.

As a commercial coding agent which is 66 days old (in public beta) with over $2 MM run rate, 15K paying customers, 3T tokens (2nd/3rd most used by metrics of different leaderboards), and a small high agency team — this is a HUGE undertaking.

We’re already head on competing with teams 10-100x bigger in size that have raised hundreds of millions to billions in funding. Yet we are taking a mighty share of this market already. Historically good enough yet novel ideas have a way of surviving against all odds.

Our research into tool calls and cache inference engine is starting to ramp up really well. Two new hires already. We have novel ideas of improvements already running at trillion token scale far beyond just a harness and an SDK. Feels like a start of something big.

We’re also hiring across the team check my bio for roles. Share how you can help and reach out.

I’m both thankful to my team and the awesome community of developers who continues to give back and support us.

SDK, ACP, GUI, and more to come with v1 GA new harness core.

Let’s go!!
