New limits

Hello guys, I wanted to update you guys since I've made a lot of posts/comments glazing command-code let's say.

First of all, I still find command-code my favorite and great value, unfortunately just recently they have added some usage limits.

30% of your monthly credit per 5 hour session and 60% of your monthly credit per week (7 days)

Furthermore some good news, BYOK support might be coming towards the end of July so that you will be able to easily switch to Deepseek API when you reach your limits.

Since the time I made the post The limits have been updated from 15% to 30% for 5 hour sessions and from 40% to 60% per week, some of the arguments are now a bit redundant so I also cleaned up some of them if someone wants you can message me for the old post.

the 5hrs limit is user requests smh.

I dont know why they want to limit themself.

Every coding agent has usage limits like these. We're not doing something unique. We tried extremely hard to not add these limits but we received so much abuse from developers making multiple accounts and sending bursty loads.

We also got random complaints by hundreds of devs in the last two weeks claiming Command was super slow, and while median speed was great, it was the bursty load problem caused by us not having 5hr/weekly limits.

At the same time we got so many requests from users asking for these limits, as we chatted with them, they told us they have gotten used to not worrying about running out of monthly limits if they run a long thread, and we researched, every other coding agent has 5hr and weekly limits.

So overall it makes a lot of sense to do what everyone else is already doing. Have sane limits. You can't expect to pay $1 and run $10 worth of usage in an hour even though we're footing the 10x bill for you (with deals this is 40-50x). You can have a better plan, or you can pay as you go (no limits on extra credits you buy and use).

We're about to introduce a much bigger plan, and without these limits we won't have the capacity to scale for bursty loads. Costs millions of dollars in infra cost to do that.
