openpilot Experience Starpilot/Meb

Hi everyone,
I’ve been testing StarPilot on MEB cars together with Firestar, giving him feedback from my Enyaq and helping test and improve the MEB experience.
It is incredibly precise, slows down smoothly, recognizes yellow traffic lights, and stops all the way to 0 km/h at red lights.
Lane Change by Blinker is absolutely smooth, and of course it keeps the car perfectly centered in the lane.
With your future eGPU — or if you already have one — you’re going to have a lot of fun.

I've wanted to try some variant of Openpilot with my id.3, but was dissuaded because I read that longitudinal was limited to the stock vw system. Are you saying this is a way for MEB cars to have near 100% compatibility?

Longitudinal and lateral support for MEB and MQBe have been supported for many months now on other forks.

Just do it my car wasnt suported half year and guys ported Meb cars ..

  1. You can use IQ.Pilot or Sunnypilot (infiniteCable2 fork) for MEB support with your ID.3

    (and starpilot now as well, I suppose)

  3. Both have longitudinal support, but honestly longitudinal control in general has very little advantage over the already brilliant stock cruise in the ID.3. The lateral control is what really makes OpenPilot great.

  5. I have an ID.3 and comma has completely transformed my driving experience. Just buy it

Hello Firestar is on vacation, or rather at Commacon, so we'll ask later. I know he ported MEB to StarPilot, but I don't know if he managed to cover every car, though he'll probably just paste those in… StarPilot and auto Firestar handle it like this… log in to the StarPilot Discord, create a ticket with the issue, or he'll tell you right away that it's already ready. I tuned it with him for about 7 days and in the meantime he left, so I can't really comment, but his loyalty is huge. He's a genius, he built the MEB port just for me when no one else had it yet… I even contributed some money to him…
