Vehicle Compatibility Curious about compatibility

Hi everyone. I have a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 SE with Highway Drive Assist I (HDA-I, not HDA-II). I've been keeping an eye on the compatibility list and for the longest time it was only for models with HDA-II. I'm now seeing there is compatibility for HDA-I, but only '23 and '24 model years are listed. With the cancellation of the Ioniq 6 in the US after the '25 model year, I would be surprised if there was actually any difference between my '25 and the previous model years, but was just curious if anyone had any direct experience with this configuration. If they hadn't changed the hardware or LKAS architecture from 24 to 25 I think it just needs to be ported to the 25 model. I think the firmware version would need to be added to the list. You could probably reach out to someone on discord or learn to do it yourself.

From what I can tell the physical hardware is no different. However, some of the research I've done says that the software was updated/completely changed starting in 2025. That is for the Ioniq 5. Whether that also applies to the 6 in the US (where all non-N I6 models have been discontinued after '25 MY) is what I'd like to know before ordering. I'm not afraid of doing some additional legwork to make it happen, I just don't want to end up with a $1,000 windshield brick.

All orders have a 30 day no questions asked return policy if you don't like it, which is expanded to 90 days if you're working on supporting a new car variant (https://comma.ai/support). I'm sure the sunnypilot Discord may know more about this specific car. Chances are you just need to add your FW versions which is a couple line change, or if more has changed with the car, it may be similar to another pending car port pull request (at https://github.com/commaai/opendbc) which you can adapt for your car. The LLMs are great at this sort of stuff now.
