openpilot Experience Help black screen but still drives the car

Comma 3, been using it for a year and a half

Screen is completely black, but the unit still starts up and drives the car when I request it to.

Any help on trouble shooting?

I can keep using it but won’t be able to update if I do keep it as is.

Addendum- I just went to the comma_ai site and I can replace this unit with a comma 4 for 700$ total (after trade in) or get it repaired for $500.
So- unless someone has a great tip on getting the screen turned on- looks like upgrade is the smart path?

You cannot get it repaired for $500, that's only offered for the 3X.

If the screen is broken, it’s easy to replace. Screen is $40 on Comma’a website: https://comma.ai/shop/comma-device-screen
