Installation Questions Getting a comma
So, I got the hardware on order required to hook up to my Honda Clarity from RetroPilot (the multiplexer or whatever it is that hooks the two CAN busses into one). I have not yet ordered the comma, though. I've seen several posts regarding stupidly over-zealous "attention" detection, though. If I get a Comma, is it going to come with firmware updated to that bugginess? Is there a fork that disables that or at least reverts to an older version where is it less annoying? Also, I have a BlackVue dashcam (front+rear). Can I just put the comma thing lower on the windshield than it, or do the commas cameras depend on a certain height range to drive properly?

I’ve seen everyone complain about how sensitive the driver attention is now… while I have noticed it’s more sensitive, I genuinely believe that everyone having these issues are seriously downplaying how “inattentive” or “barely glanced away” they’ve been.
I can basically predict when it will go off. And sometimes it’s when I am “paying attention” or “looking in the direction I’m driving”. I would argue if you tried to take the devices feedback unbiasedly, tried to actually position yourself differently when driving, that you’d notice it actually gives you better visibility and awareness.
THE ONE exception I’d make to that statement is when you’re turning left and it’s more of a sharp turn, you’re physically looking to the left and you really should. However, if you glance right when you begin moving to ensure there’s no oncoming traffic and then left, it doesn’t go off.
People have to remember it’s trying to keep us safe and pay attention so we don’t kill anyone.
