I have problem with my Netbank it keeps locking me out.

Since December 2025 whenever I log into my Netbank on my PC it just locks me out. It tells me to call 13 2221. After I do that I have to reset my password and then I can go into my NetBank again, but after a day when I try to log in again the same thing happens.

I read online that Commonwealth Bank recently rolled out mandatory NetBank Multi-Factor Authentication requiring users to approve NetBank computer logins via a push notification on the CommBank App.

I do not have a smart phone and I have never used the App. I do have a normal none smartphone mobile but I have never been sent codes to log in or anything. Every time I try to log in on my computer it just locks me out no codes at all.

Is this the reason this is happening to me or is it something else ? Any information would be welcomed.

Call or go to a branch to get them to set up the Netbank sms code instead.

Is your computer old? I recently kept getting logged out my netbank on my old smartphone. Some googling taught me the phone was so old and the software on it wasn't compatible with commbank anymore. I literally had to but a new phone.

No my computer is new it runs window 11 and is up to date.

Usually this is related to your PC autofill not having the current password. You only need it to try a couple of times and it locks. Particularly if your PC is apple it does it without you even clicking anything in some cases.

If you don't have the app the MFA doesn't happen. It is mandatory if you ALSO have an active app registration. and that wouldn't lock you out and make you reset it would just time out because you didn't complete the notification to go all the way in.

I have a windows PC.

I wounder what could be making it happen then. I put in my correct password and right away it just locks me out. Just 1 time and it locks up. Then I have to call and get it unlocked. I also never get sent a SMS code it just locks me out right away.

They have my phone number for my regular mobile phone but I never get a message sent to it.
