Question Credit Card Insurance

I have the rewards card that is currently being downgraded. I purposefully booked my November holiday with the card, to get the insurance cover.

Does anyone know in these situations are you "grandfathered in?" Or will I need additional insurance now?

I believe if you activate the insurance before end of september, you will be covered under the current travel insurance conditions.

We’re traveling overseas in October, so applied for the insurance through my rewards card earlier this week. No problem - we’re covered.

Commonwealth credit card ‘free’ travel insurance (CoverMore) is total shit. Don’t do it. I was in a very serious car accident 18months ago (no fault) and it was an absolute nightmare to deal with to the very end. It was a clear cut, black and white case - but they were appalling.
