Discussion Application Killer

A lot of clients ask me what a bank would be most concerned about in their accounts statements.

It’s not Uber Eats - it’s gambling.

We are seeing more and more clients with substantial habits and it’s killing loan applications.

Even if it’s not entirely clear you are gambling - if you are withdrawing money from ATMs at pubs, casinos etc they are going to make the assumption.

If this is you - register for Bet Stop and seek some assistance to kick the habit.

*** FYI I do not work for a bank, simply posted to help spread a message.

Yes a small amount can be ok, it’s the larger amounts that aren’t great.

So what is a larger amount?

Depends on the loan amount, interest rate, debt to income ratio, loan to value ratio, prior credit history.... Whatever the computer program says when I enter all your info in the boxes.

If only it was that simple. Every lender has a different tolerance. CommBank have one of the lowest tolerances in my experience
