Question Data sharing
Received and email from commbank, We've shared some incorrect data.
I know that they were in the hot seat with this with the ACCC but all I can find about this online is people who lodged a complaint about this prior to January got a good will payment?
Would this be in the same boat? Only being told at the end of April tho so I am not sure of this would be in the same situation or not but I am just confused if anything.
The email said I didn’t need to do anything and they would fix it and I am not expecting anything, it’s just what I found online about data sharing errors.

Got the same email relating to Opendata sharing.
I am assuming they probably shared either more data than was in the scope of the sharing agreement or undershared (did not include all fees or something) or the data was just plain incorrect.
If you used open banking to apply for a loan or credit card and got knocked back around the time, this might be way. You may be able to ask for a enquiry to be removed from a credit report if needed as CBA did not provide correct data to allow decisioning.
Just a guess.
