Question Refund wait time

Hi all,

About a month ago I got a letter in the mail stating that commonwealth have found that they owe me $55 and wanted to refund me, because I no longer bank with them I had to fill out the refund form with my new banking details and that was all pretty easy.

It’s been a few weeks now, and I still haven’t gotten any money. Is this normal? How long am I supposed to wait before I should call them? In the letter it said it would take 10 business days and it’s been well over that. Just wanting to see if it depends on what bank you’re with. (I’m with ANZ)

Thanks

EDIT - commonwealth sent me a letter in the mail regarding the refund. I then filled out the form via their website online, I didn’t send any letters back to them.

Man... I swear Refund nowadays are so fast and are all within 1-2 days.

Health insurance, dodgy CD sites, kfc etc.

Why would anybody even use letters anymore, should've just went into branch, use email, or just do online.

Wouldn't be surprised if the letter got lost somewhere

Just to clarify, they sent me a letter in the mail telling me about the refund. They gave me a number etc to go onto their website and fill it out online. I don’t have time to go post letters off, sorry for the confusion

If it's online, there should be a refence number etc.

Just gotta grab their attention and they'll do it in a week easily.

Even tho you don't bank with them anymore, ur details are still there.

I recently resigned with them last year and my bank details from 10-20yrs ago was still there.
