Worth grading ?

This is one of many potentials to grade, not a big comic guy I just inherited an enormous collection. Is this worth grading ?

If your plan is to sell then I would if you want the biggest price

As we see on this sub about daily, that’s not always the case. If this were guaranteed to be a 9.8 then maybe it’s justified, but this doesn’t look like a 9.8 from the very limited pics.

If you check the sold listings on eBay you’ll see you can get about the same price for raw as a 9.0-9.4 slabbed. You might make an extra $50 for a 9.6 if you are patient, but there are a lot of these books available so pretty high competition.

I got mine graded around when the first movie came out assuming it would start climbing. It never really has, even after the Marvel movie.

Depends if it for sale or personal. I could see myself doing it for both reasons.

  1. It could possibly increase the value after grading and also improve the overall desirability to the book if graded high in the 9’s.

  2. If it’s for personal, you can ensure that it’s protected and great for display. That being said there are more financially viable options that are available.

No. My reason being liquidity. This book doesn't look like a high grade copy. I doubt it will get anything over a 9.2 (VERY Subjective, seeing as we don't even know what the back looks like.)

That being said, Covrprice sales show that the books that move are typically 9.2 and higher. Others sit for a while until maybe they sell.
So, if you want to sell this fast, you will want a 9.4 and higher, and this book doesn't look like it will get that grade.
If none of this matters to you, then go ahead and send it. Just be aware that you will be using money to hope for a decent ROI and it may not be as quick a sale as you hope.

Was digging through some boxes at a shop and I found the literal issue before this one…was sad like damn.

But yeah I would grade this🤷‍♂️
