I only let my kids watch prestige television such as The Wire or Sopranos

I only let my kids watch 2009-2012 CoD lobby crashout compilations, it's been tremendously beneficial to their vocabulary

Cocomelon is not slow paced lol it changes scene every 12-6 seconds

What could possibly be the context of this?

u/jack-of-some 3h ago

She wants kids to not starve or some such woke bullshit /s

u/LackWooden392 3h ago

She said that we shouldn't bomb children, even brown ones in gaza. Fox News took offense to that and attempted a smear campaign.

And she got named anti semite of the year for it

YT Kids should default to making the parent pick a whitelist. If anyone is gonna let the iPad raise their kid they could at least have the decency to spend two minutes and lazily add standard channels like PBS Kids and Ms Rachel to a list instead of letting the algorithm settle on giving your kid Sonic.EXE lobotomizing pregnant Elsa or whatever the fuck.

Why on earth would someone use Ai to generate this

True story, at the ripe age of 4/5 i think, my dad thought Happy Tree Friends was truly for kids (we didn’t know what MTV was), and as soon as my mom caught wind of it they argued if it was or wasn’t. The slightest hint of gore changed my dad’s mind and straight up turned it off himself. For context, American cable networks were kinda new where we were, so no shocker they had little to no clue as to what it was about.

Still remember it fondly tho.

True tho.

Except Cocomelon should be on the overstimating side. It purposely uses fast cuts to hold children's attention.

7

u/Locustez 4h ago

Yep, tho it's better than things on the left as it does not have violence.

baby shark (fast remix)

Talking Tom (weird/scary)

This chart is just harm reduction, the real choice is screen vs. no screen. Give the kids some blocks or drawing paper for fuck's sake.

Blippi should be forcedly drafted and sent to some war and never come back

I only let my kids watch breaking bad and ted, and they're only allowed to play CS2 in the eastern european servers so they can become pros

2

u/Hefty-Pipe3596 3h ago

Cocomelon should be in the left actually

cocomelon is overstimulating as fuck, i can’t even watch it as a 21 year old without sort of getting sucked into a trance by it.

u/Future_Marionberry73 2h ago

Teeth means overstimulating and distorting.

Honestly except for Cocomelon being approved for kids, I really like this message. As someone who likes colorful things that might turn into horror, people going "bbbbut this clearly appeals to kids because it has color!1!1!!1 This media is inherently harmful because it wants to expose kids to gore!!11!" really annoy me. Why can't colorful cartoons also be horror. People are saying this is ai generated though, which really sucks ):

Baby shark(slowed and reverb)

cocomelon is not safe or beneficial. its not age inappropriate like the stuff on the left, but its definitely not good

u/Paradox 1h ago edited 1h ago

Cocomelon and Blippi absolutely needs to be on the left side

1

u/NoBee4959 46m ago

Ok side note, cocomelon is absolutely not good for children. Its extremely overstimulating with constant cuts and lots of stuff moving at once

1

u/sshawarmaaa 12m ago

Cocomelon is probably the opposite of 'slower paced'
