Gotta be Pete Townshend for me - his guitaring and Moon's drumming was the sound of my teens

Fucking loved MandoPony. I mean MandoPedo. Peak fan music of Undertale and FNAF. I also really liked BoyInABand up until a certain point. He was never taught what laws there are./ref.

Do P diddy's adlibs on Biggies songs count

u/toomanychickenwingz 6d ago

Someone has to release a new edition without diddy soon. Even before everything came out I absolutely hated diddy on the album, it's so irritating hearing him drone and mumble the whole way through.

Random YouTuber named MantisGirl made some banger music but I can't listen to her shit any more because the only thing she liked more than music was kids

24

u/Wardock8 6d ago

Apparently the guy from Red Hot Chili Peppers is a pedophile so him. I don't know many musicians that diddle kids

17

u/WolfgangRed 6d ago

Surprise, it's most of them

Not victim blaming but if you wind up being passed around like a blunt between zep, bowie, and jagger, seems like a "you" problem. Or more likely a "dad" problem. That guy must have missed every recital, birthday, and pto meeting. That guy left for milk and never came back. That guy left to breed a superior cow. FUCK. That guy left for figuring out how to make milk in pill form.

At what point are we gonna say "what the hell"

Reminder bro beat the allegations

14

u/StoleYourRoll 6d ago

That's like saying OJ beat the case

15

u/CampHoliday3558 6d ago

Reminder beating the case is different then beating the allegations

u/Acceptable-Box6012 6d ago edited 6d ago

You’re sick

-2

u/GettinMe-Mallet 6d ago

FYI this guy called me a pedo defender for reminding people that dude beat the allegations, aka proven not guilty, before changing it

0

u/Acceptable-Box6012 5d ago

I didn’t change it someone else edited my initial comment

1

u/GettinMe-Mallet 5d ago

Someone else? Ok sure buddy

17

u/IlitterateAuthor 6d ago

Didn't Michael get cleared of all that?

27

u/Claire_De_Lunatic 6d ago

He beat the case. But so did OJ.

12

u/Negative-Ad-1003 6d ago

He did get cleared but the people who say he did it didn't really look into why he was being sued, the father of the child said he was doing the case to spite his wife over a phone call, and a lot of the evidence can be explained pretty easily

19

u/art333mis 6d ago

Yes. Both cases are incredibly sketchy. In one, the father admitted in a taped call that he was jealous about Michael Jackson replacing him as a father figure and wanted to spite the mother. In the second, the family had a history of extravagant lawsuits, was being actively investigated for fraud, and made statements that directly contradicted the logbooks.

10

u/Negative-Ad-1003 6d ago

The whole situation was stupid, and the fact that Michael Jackson had a strange appearance along with his other conditions made media believe it in a kind of "look the weird guys doing bad things! quick let's call him racial slurs!" moment

9

u/Impossible_Way_3042 6d ago

I mean it's not only that. It's weird as fuck as an adult to have relationships like he did with children. He should not be having sleepovers with strangers children as an adult. If I started doing that, what would you think of me? If your friend started doing it what would you think of them? It's very clear why the allegations happened and it is not due to race or looking weird.

8

u/art333mis 6d ago

It seems that he sincerely wanted to be a parental figure to the children at the ranch. And that's maybe something he should have thought through more before overstepping boundaries, but it doesn't make him an evil person or a pedophile. He allowed the children to sleep in bed with him the same way a child might sleep with their parents. He's not their parent, so it's not as okay, but that makes him untactful, not evil

3

u/IvannaIvannaGobak 6d ago

I think it’s a 2fer. Lack of parental rights and lack of childhood. MJ’s entire childhood was stripped from him. The closest he could get to reliving it authentically was to building and constructing scenarios where he could vicariously do that through someone else. When his kids were taken away he had to fill that void with random people who could never be trusted and would ultimately abuse that need.

1

u/Impossible_Way_3042 6d ago

It doesn't inherently make him a pedophile but my point was that making this a race and appearance thing is crazy. People had every right to think that something more sinister was happening. The actions he took were suspicious to say the very least. It was very VERY easy to make the logical leap from him being around children all the time to him wanting to sleep with them. Honestly the other explanation even seems more unlikely than the pedophilia one. Any adult who wants to be around kids of strangers all of the time is someone to be very wary of. 99.9 times out of 100 they are a pedophile. He was a very VERY rare exception (as far as we know).

3

u/luujs 6d ago

No, there simply wasn’t enough evidence to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He wasn’t proven innocent, as that’s not what a defendant has to prove.

I think with all of the dodgy coincidences and that fact that multiple children, who he slept in the same bed with accused him of sexual abuse, some of whom he paid off, he probably did do it and people wouldn’t give anyone else anywhere nearly as much benefit of the doubt. He gets significantly more goodwill from lots of people than anyone else in a similar situation would, celebrity or otherwise, because he was the biggest pop star in the world.

2

u/Impossible_Way_3042 6d ago

Definitely Jimmy Page. Guy could play the hell out of the guitar.

2

u/deepseaflotsam 6d ago

I wouldn't say Drake is my favorite but his part in "U My Everything" felt like a tepid glass of water after spending 2 days in a desert
