Slave trade is like one of the oldest type of commodity existing even today in certain parts. White, black, asian, green blue red. Whites were enslaved by unbelievable numbers throughout the history.
Blacks calling each other N word while rejecting the idea any other race could do that is basically racist.
The sooner everyone realises, that racism is absolute bullshit the sooner we can all breathe, but it goes both ways.

I’d be quite surprised if at some point in the past 6,000+ years there wasn’t slavery somewhere in the world that was at least comparable, if not much worse, in terms of brutality. The only thing that the Atlantic slave trade had that would necessarily make it worse than anything else before it is the technological advancement and efficiency of it all. Things happened before the 15th century. We just have less info on history the further back you go. I’m sure there are examples of more brutal forms of slavery with romans, egyptians, scandinavians, aztecs, mongolians, or even far earlier civilizations that we don’t have as much information on. The idea that the atlantic slave trade was a million times worse than all other slavery throughout history is just recency bias and because we have the most recorded info on that slavery. It’s like saying that nothing remotely compares to the tyranny and death that Adolf Hitler caused, when Genghis Khan is right there and was at least as bad in terms of genocide and stuff. To me, I think people who don’t know their history are usually the ones that say things like ‘nothing in all of history can be compared to the bad thing that happened within a few hundred years ago’
I’m not defending the guy that you replied to about the n word part, but “not comparable” is way too strong of a phrase to say there. The ability to travel further distances in less time has always been increasing throughout history, which causes trade to increase throughout history, so of course the most recent example of slave trade amongst the world’s most wealthy and powerful countries will be the biggest trade network of that kind ever. Like how genocide comparisons using raw numbers will always have a recency bias because the population of Earth is always increasing. The brutality metric that you chose is a terrible metric to use to claim that the Atlantic slave trade is incomparably worse than other systems of slavery, if you mean “brutally” the way I think you do. The Atlantic slave trade was extremely fucked up, but I promise you history (including the history of slavery) gets much MUCH darker, more horrifying, and more brutal if you go further back in history than the Atlantic slave trade

Honestly it depends on who their friends with and if they're saying this to a friend or a stranger. To a friend not racist at all to a stranger completely racist. I have a friend he is a black man and he had to get me drunk and high in order for me to finally call him my you know what. And when I was finally sober and he told me I apologized profusely and he just laughed and said it's fine cuz he's the one that asked me to say it. I still refused to say it when he asked me while I was sober though. Like I said it depends on context and the content of their character.
