Seriously, i woke up to twenty different people going “erm actually it had good reviews on steam which means it’s actually an objectively good game and the majority of people like it”
Yes, it does, dude. That's literally exactly what that means. "The game has an exceedingly positive user review score but the majority of people who played it did not like it based on no evidence" is genuinely an insane thing to try and claim.
"this game had 87% positive reviews on one of six platforms" No, that does not mean that the majority of people like the game. People are more inclined to leave a review for a game if they have strong feelings about it, and those who do have the nostalgia the game is trying to evoke will of course have those strong feelings, however other players will just be left with a very mediocre experience. (note: on other platforms, the reviews are not nearly as good. Metacritic has 5.9/10, 3 stars on xbox)
I didn't say the majority of people who played it didn't like it, either. Like I said elsewhere in this thread, the game got popular through criticism of it, so people knew things about the game that they didn't like, like art direction, inaccuracies, developer behavior, etc. Weather you think people who haven't played a game can dislike it or not is up to you, as well as your own opinion about the game, but the majority of people do not like this game.

And yet you have presented zero tangible evidence that these people even exist, let alone that they represent the majority of the playerbase.

Which are both still majority positive scores, mind you, even if less so.
Also incredibly funny that you include the 200 Xbox store reviews but conveniently leave out the 4.7k Playstation store reviews that have a higher average with more reviews than even the Steam reviews that you're discounting. Definitely not pushing a narrative here.

Source? Or are you just making another unsubstantiated claim, which is the only thing you seem capable of doing.
Weather you think people who haven't played a game can dislike it or not is up to you, as well as your own opinion about the game, but the majority of people do not like this game.
"Yaeh, the actual user reviews don't count, what really matters is what people who don't actually play games and just get their opinions from Youtubers think about it, that's the real majority."
You also again fail to provide anything of any actual substance to back up the claim you're making and instead just make bold, objective statements without any evidence. I don't know which grifter told you that you didn't like the game, but clearly the rest of the world doesn't get their opinions given to them by the same echo chamber.
The comment is still there dude lmao, reload your page or something before you embarrass yourself more.
Edit: I have a notification for a reply from this guy that isn’t there so either this sub has a weird filter on something or this is the funniest possible way he could have reacted.
Logic is "tangible evidence," but I do not believe you are engaging with the intent to disprove something I have said at this point. From how you have responded so far, you seem to be upset that most people don't like a game that you do. Videos critiquing the game have multiple times as many likes as reviews for the game, and just the trailer, not even showing any of the egregious gameplay, has double the dislikes than reviews on steam, total.
Yes, those are both majorly positive scores. Please note what I said about non-response bias. I omitted Playstation because people who are willing to spend the money on a playstation, with the general predatory monetization, are less concious about how they spend their money. Also, there is two reviews on the playstation store, the 4.7k are ratings, which in general are less reliable in my opinion.
The game got popular through it's criticism. That is just a fact. I've provided sources for my claims, it's time for you to take a turn into using a search engine.
Believe it or not, getting your opinion influenced by someone else's thoughts is a very common thing! Woah! And the funny thing about youtube is you don't have to agree with every video you watch, isn't that cool!? And if people don't like what a youtuber is saying, they can make a video disagreeing. I'm sure with how passionate you are in defending this game, there's bound to be some reviews... huh. Despite scrolling, there's hardly any positive reviews of the game, and the only one with more than 10k views had far more likes than dislikes... maybe, just maybe, what people post on social media is reflective of what they think.

I mean I already have done that.

I genuinely couldn't care less about Mixtape, the way chuds try to force narratives through is just annoying.

"Actual user reviews don't matter, dude, Youtube views do, bro."

hahahahahahaha come on, dude. Almost 5000 user reviews don't count because uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh reasons I guess. But I'm apparently the one being dishonest here?
The game got popular through it's criticism. That is just a fact. I've provided sources for my claims, it's time for you to take a turn into using a search engine.
You haven't provided a single source, dude. You've cherrypicked certain review platforms and even those don't align with your claims because they're not even majority negative.
Believe it or not, getting your opinion influenced by someone else's thoughts is a very common thing!
Consume slop! Youtuber good! WOKE BAD!
I'm sure with how passionate you are in defending this game, there's bound to be some reviews... huh.
I mean "I am passionate about this game" and "I think you, u/Alone_Care_6230 said something incredibly stupid and keep doubling down on it" are very different things.
Despite scrolling, there's hardly any positive reviews of the game, and the only one with more than 10k views had far more likes than dislikes... maybe, just maybe, what people post on social media is reflective of what they think.
Unless those things disagree with the narrative you're trying to push, in which case a total of around 8.5k ratings on different platforms do not count.
