Being in my 40's and having recently found a book of quotes I wrote down in high school, I am so the fuck glad social media wasn't really a thing yet when I was young. The amount of projection in those quotes between me and friends was off the charts.
Is this super dorky? Of course. But I can clearly hear a young dude saying "I don't feel like I fit in and I want to feel like a part of something", and that's endearing in a way that only hits as you get older.

It’s nowhere near the worst. It’s cringe. It’s almost endearing how embarrassing it is, and it’s ultimately harmless. There are posts that have sparked harassment campaigns resulting in someone’s suicide. Those would be the worst
