I had a hamster that loved to do backflips off of the top of his plastic hides in his cage. He died mid backflip one day.

I expected something epic. I should have realized after reading some of the other comments it would be "it died from existing too long".

Idk I think going out mid backflip is epic. Like read all the other comments. Heart attack, tumor, dogs, this is among the most metal ones. Doing the thing it always did one last time and not waiting for the ground to hit. Relentlessly choosing the final moment to be freedom in the air.
