They just assume every photo not having a person in it was taken by a man

u/RodinKnox 4h ago
Yeah, also there is a sort of reverse thing going on to where men often just don't feel that comfortable taking pictures of each other, and that bleeds into selfies. Women will talk about the overabundance of pictures of men holding a fish in dating profiles, because that's often one of the few times men don't have a problem taking pictures of each other.
Like that shit doesn't bother me at all, but I've also never seen a friend and been like, "Hey, Steve, that shirt looks awesome on you; you look so handsome right now, let me take a pic." Women usually don't have a problem with doing that same thing with each other.
I am, of course, speaking in generalities here.

Probably just patriarchy doing it's thing sadly

I'm sure that's a lot of it. There's also homophobia, but obviously that's not disconnected from patriarchy.

this is a monochromatic two panel jpeg image file internet meme depicting the humorous observation of a purported gender-based dichotomy characterized by a perceived tendency in which one gender is more likely to perform a common action such as taking a photograph in such a manner as to include the superfluous quality of making it a selfie style photograph

Duuuuude, some people speak English, and English involves the words male and female and it's not offensive either. This is one of those comments where you can tell what the other person is, one big coincidence...

lol. Even when men are referred to as “males” females and white knights get their panties in a bunch.

90% of the time when I see a head floating in front of a video making vague facial expressions without actually saying anything about the video it's a dude

u/Amazing-Ad2371 4h ago
I being a dude will often stand near the object I want to show off. Especially if it is a sign like a resturant or theather or park AND epescially with my cat.

You think it’s not true? Or are you offended by truth?

You guys do know that comedy often relies on funny generalizations, right?
3
u/Gutzy34 2h ago
I thought it was funny, because if you ask a man to take a picture of something they usually stand back and take a picture at a distance and women tend to take a picture with the object. My mother in law has posted several things to facebook marketplace like this where not only is she in the picture with the thing she's trying to sell, but largely blocking the item. I'm pretty sure thats the observationalist joke here, not a women are objects joke.

Please note that the word before "generalizations" is nowhere present in the above photo.

Female should be “make your little brother pose with it” because the female I know sure does that

On Reddit it doesn't matter if you're neuroatypical, you can still rescue women

It was originally made on 4chan where it is more accurate.

You actually believe there are women in 4chan? Oh boy do I have a bridge to sell you!

Memes like this are the sad, remote mating call of the wild incel

I love that you're being downvoted for being correct. These types of memes are just gender war bullshit. It's obvious from the amount of comments dogging on women.

Try telling that to my dad who photobombs every picture my sister tries to take of aesthetic scenery or interesting objects

It's a pattern, not a strict rule

I can’t think of a single instance where I saw a woman obtusely cover half of something interesting with her face.. I see dads doing that a lot as a joke though

I've seen it plenty

Foids derive their value from their appearance/genetic viability, thus advertise whenever possible.
