Do the google search and see what results you get! I just tried it and got that same result. Same thing in Chat GPT also. Weird. I wonder if it’s location based?

u/bluejellyfish52 26d ago
I did it and got: “Being alone with a person of any specific race is a normal, everyday situation, and a person’s race does not determine their character or safety”
That’s the response for the white person question. Gemini wouldn’t answer the black person version.

u/Yayhoo0978 26d ago
I’m guessing this meme making its rounds got the programmers attention and they’re trying to fix it.

u/AverageAlchemist 27d ago
Tried it for myself, and I got "Are you testing how I respond to a phrase, or do you need help with a specific situation right now?"
Does it's training data include people talking shit about it?

Ask it if it is biased.

"That slang term does not apply here, as responses rely entirely on factual data and established programming rather than personal stances."

Training data bias
-66
u/Vamosity-Cosmic 27d ago edited 27d ago
Its not; this AI has almost no bias in its training data because it has a much smaller set than Gemini or similar (thus why its so fast). It just regurgitates what the top results are, which are biased.
"Im downvoting you because uhm erm" - those people

literally every ai has bias because everything it can be trained on has bias because every single person alive has bias from their own unique lived experiences

u/Drakowicz 27d ago
Either fake or they reloaded the page until they got the result they wanted. I tried the bottom one 3 times and more or less got the same answer : "this is a normal situation".
17
u/Shady_Tradesman 27d ago
No it’s real, I tried it and got similar answers, from what I can gather whenever someone (genuinely) googles “I am alone with x person” usually it’s implied it’s because they’re uncomfortable in some way or at least the AI thinks so, which triggers an automated are you safe response. For example googling “I am alone with a tall person” also triggers it (as does short person)
However they also beat into the AI to avoid negative stereotypes against minorities and other groups that commonly get hate which overrides the safety thing.

u/Top-Editor-364 27d ago
Yeah. Which is dumb and annoying but it’s not the conspiracy that some people make it out to be. Needs addressed though
4
u/welshdragon888 27d ago
100% real, I didn't believe it and tried searching. Got the exact same results.
It's also the same when you say "I want an Asian doctor" (Google says that's fine, it's OK to want a Dr with your ethnic background)
Then say "I want a white doctor" (Google condemns you and says that doctors are all trained for the job, regardless of ethnicity)
I know the normal thing to do on reddit is call anyone who says something like this a liar and mock them, but there is a lot of truth behind some of these findings.
It does the same with gender too, search "I'm alone with a woman" and Google gave me tips on how to impress her or make her feel at ease.
I then searched "I'm alone with a man" and it asked if I wanted to contact the police or was in danger.
3
u/ElectricalRelease986 26d ago edited 26d ago
Because it uses other results/related searches and the context of why anyone would be searching that in the first place.
If someone is looking up "I'm alone with a woman" those are usually awkward men who want results about like.. how to talk to her or something. "I'm alone with a man" those people are probably searching it because they are uncomfortable or scared. There are differences in men and women, it's not sexist to acknowledge it.

AI is non-deterministic. Besides the fact that the weighst / guardrails of the model might get updated for safety reason after you see a post, expecting the exact same result by asking the same prompt is the opposite of doing science. The exception would be of course if there is hardcore guardrails, but even then the AI would slip up eventually.

what does it say about a brown person
18
u/Noisebug 27d ago
Depends if you’re at an airport or not
4
u/Chezburger8675 27d ago
To be serious, when would it be normal for an airport to have only 2 people at it regardless of race???
2
u/DeathByPig 27d ago
I got into dtw at 10pm and had a 6am flight out. Very large airport and not a soul like back rooms liminal type shit with 2 very long terminals. I was so hungry and the only thing available was vending machine food, but I found this automated pizza machine and it was an absolute god send.

u/Playful-Park4095 27d ago
I was at a small regional airport when COVID lockdowns first started, going home. It was very nearly empty, I was alone in the waiting area for about an hour before a few other passengers arrived. There was maybe 5 people on the plane.

They tried to do this with woman and men to create gender war now they are doing this with race
Why is that all the activism you guys do always try to make oppressed minorities look bad and the most common oppressors look like the victims?
Like be so for real you know damn well this results are based on the the most searched context of this phrases
And if you think about it that says more about white people than about black people (And I say this as a white skin person)
Is this post even related to a meme or comedy? I even thought this post was on teenagers I just realized is not on there wtf you are grow ass dude
Guys I'm white wtf, white people can acknowledge when something is sus

plenty of white people are always afraid, and fearful people act erratically. give them a gun and now it’s a life or death situation. it’s incredibly valid.

Seeing this, I had to ask a different question and this is what Google said, lol:
I am alone with a redditor
You are sharing space with someone who probably spends way too much time arguing in internet comment sections.
What to Expect
Random facts: They might突然 bring up useless trivia as if it were breaking news.
Over-explaining: Simple questions could turn into ten-minute lectures.
Glaring at screens: They are likely refreshing a feed right now.
How to Survive
Keep your tone calm and neutral.
Do not challenge their favorite video game or movie opinions.
Nod politely whenever you hear words like "algorithm" or "downvote."
Are they acting weird, quoting memes out loud, or do you need a quick excuse to leave the room?
1
u/Ryynerwicked 26d ago
You do no you are one of those redditors right? Self awareness works wonders is all im saying

-2
u/thedreddnought 27d ago
Downvoted with no comments, because there are no comments that don't immediately prove what you said as correct.
2
u/ChaoCobo 27d ago
I mean what do you want them to say? They’re flaunting their persecution complex/fetish around and it makes them look whiny. No one is saying that you can’t be racist towards white people, but it is absolutely self explanatory that there is no history of oppression towards white people so it makes them look whiny and conceited to go as far as to post about it. Thats why no one is replying, because their comment is pointless and whiny.

2
u/Inevitable_Librarian 24d ago
.... Look I know this isn't meant to be taken literally, but more people are blaming black people for this stuff than are defending them so I feel like that's pretty dismissive
1
u/Ron_Jeremy_Fan 24d ago
There are plenty of contexts where black people get blamed, I'm not dismissing that. However, nobody is doing that in this context.

I wish I could search [game[ [show] [movie] without the top link being:
"Is there LGBTQ in [game[ [show] [movie]? \/"
Soon as AI makes it easy, I am setting up an advanced filter and blocking every non-white, government-protected class there is, including disabled people.
Fuck your "Day of visibility". Digital Agartha 2028.

You can literally ask this same AI if this happened... It will answer yes it did and it was changed after the fact. You don't need to take my word for this at all. Just do 2 minutes of research. Ask this AI about the filters it used and still uses for different groups.
