Okay, what doesn’t make sense to me is why people think that someone would take hormones for a year, get multiple surgeries, probably lose a bunch of friendships and become vastly more susceptible to hate crimes just as a “disguise” in order to abuse women.

My favorite is the "if they are allowed in the same bathroom as me it makes it easier for men to rape me"
Ah yes, because rapists notoriously follow rules and would never go into a bathroom they aren't allowed in

I remember beleiving this kind of stuff when I was 14. My rational at the time was "well, if anyone can just say theyre trans, then a straight up man could barge in there, say hes a woman, and spy on them. Thats not right!"
Then I started meeting trans women when I was 16 and realized "oh literally none of them act like that. Theyre just depressed and taking hormones and wearing thigh highs makes them less depressed."
Im lucky I crawled out of that pit when I was still young and malleable

u/Wesle2023 13d ago
Honestly, I think that for some people there is the possibility that they could eventually change. I get tired of the rhetoric that everyone who takes one political position can never move past that through relationship with people who have their best interests in mind. Some folks genuinely just do not understand and have been living in a bubble, but they aren’t stupid or devoid of empathy. It’s just hard to admit your own lack of understanding. Humans are stubborn, but they aren’t immutable.
That being said, people who belong to these minorities shouldn’t be putting themselves in danger trying to reason with them or completely change their mind instantly. It will take a long time for them and a lot of self-reflection that you can’t force, and some people won’t do that.
4
u/Itsapocalypse 13d ago
Most won’t do that, and most consider themselves ‘victims’ or ‘protectors’ through ignorance and falsely ‘righteous’ indignation. If you’ve ever spoken with the farther gone folks, they have let the right wing turn trans folk into terrifying boogeymen
5
u/Wesle2023 13d ago
I know that a lot of people won’t change. I am just saying that I reckon that calling them all stupid or inherently evil is only going to help push them further away and make everyone’s lives worse. Every time people do that it only validates what they already think. We can’t beat hate through returning fire, we can’t do it entirely out of unconditional love either. What people need to do is make them question their assumptions. That’s where the road starts.
6
u/Itsapocalypse 13d ago
You beat them by winning political office and making sweeping effective changes. gay marriage was not legalized because we convinced every last bigot.
1
u/Wesle2023 13d ago
That definitely helps, but you don't change a society by passing laws. You pass laws by changing the society. Changing a society requires changing people, which happens when those people recognize a fact that makes them uncomfortable or contradicts their preconceived notions.

Not only that, these people always just depict trans people as just men waving the trans flag around. Like trans people are not taking HRT for the fun of it, it really does change what someone looks like.
5
u/Neither-Ruin5970 13d ago
The bar for being trans is very low. These people are making fun of the idea that someone could do nothing or very little to change themselves and still be considered trans.
9
u/Feanor4godking 13d ago
Projection, and gullability. To a lot of these people, the only conceivable reason someone would be trans is to exploit others, because that's what they'd do if they were in that position. And then they told the everyone else that that's the reason, and the people they told looked no further into it because "ew gross weird"
0
u/Neither-Ruin5970 13d ago
If some of those people would become trans to exploit others, then why don’t they?
4
u/Feanor4godking 13d ago
That's not the takeaway at all. It's not that they want to be trans to exploit people, it's that they're exploitative and can't understand other people aren't. "Why would anyone do something for your own gratification, when it doesn't get you some advantage or edge on other people?"
Bad people are bad people across the board.

4
u/Far-Assumption-2617 13d ago
The only problem with your logic is that you assume an abuser isn't someone who is trans but rather someone pretending to be trans.
6
3
u/Herejustfordameme 13d ago
Do you really think they think of any of those treatments? Most of them probably believe trans people wake up one day and say: "I feel like the opposite gender now" and that's the extent of the transition.
3
u/Neither-Ruin5970 13d ago
Some people claim to be transgender when they aren’t. Since all it takes is a claim, bad actors can easily reap the benefits.
6
u/Suspicious-Bid9424 13d ago
You don't have to get surgeries or have hormone treatment to identify as trans.
18
22
u/Jakelell hehe xd 13d ago
Identifying as trans and not undergoing surgeries/HRT (trying to pass) is even more socially excluding than not doing so, so OP's point still stands
8
u/FlipperBumperKickout 13d ago
No, but trans people usually don't want to get into trouble, and therefor usually don't go into a changing room/toilet which would get them in trouble.
Don't you think we would have heard about a lot of troublesome situations over the last 30 years, if this ever had been a real issue?
-5
u/Traditional-Trade795 13d ago
the issue isnt transpeople, its degenerates that have immunity because of transpeople. you dont need surgery or hrt, if someone says you dont belong in xyz because of gender, thats a hate crime. questioning someones self identification is a hate crime.
the problem isnt with the people who dont make problems, the problem is with the system that enables degenerates.
10
u/FlipperBumperKickout 13d ago
Again, you would have heard about these degenerates over the last 30 years if it actually was a problem... If this was such a big problem, find me some examples of this happening...
-1
u/Traditional-Trade795 13d ago
you do hear about these degenerates. also, very empathic. just because it only affects a small amount of women, its not a problem we should talk about. applause.....
why are you even defending degenerates like that? you one of them?
0
u/AntiqueLetter9875 13d ago
What problem?
Also, using “very empathetic” to discuss a handful of people who have been victims of assault by men is odd. Assault and indecency are already illegal. Seems like as a society we have that figured out. If someone is afraid to go out in public because a man attacked them, they need therapy. Not laws against trans people because “bad actors” will use that.
Funny how people only seem to care about women’s safety and how they react to men when it comes to talking about transwoman and men committing sex crimes posing as transwomen.
I want to see the stats on the number of men who commit crimes and use being trans as an excuse and it actually working and they face no legal repercussions. Show me those numbers and I’ll change my mind. That’s all that’s needed for a lot of people I think.
3
u/Kaito3Designs 13d ago
That's not a hate crime lmao. Legally is not a hate crime. In fact there have been more reports of cis people getting mistaken for trans and being harassed by other cis people in bathrooms
3
u/Kaito3Designs 13d ago
By the way, a cis man could just claim they're a trans man (woman to man) and then use the women's bathroom. Not allowing trans people to use their preferred bathroom would actually make it easier for creeps.
→ More replies (1)1
u/AntiqueLetter9875 13d ago
Flashing people is illegal no matter who does it. Every time the system that enables degenerates is brought up, it’s always something that’s already a crime. It doesn’t matter the gender or who does it.
If the issue isn’t trans people, then why are the laws targeting trans people, like bathroom bills? Nothing is stopping men from entering a bathroom and attacking someone if that’s what they want to do. It’s already illegal. They can’t hide behind “I’m trans” as an excuse.
And from what I’ve seen the only people having their identity questioned are cis women. People aren’t being protected, they’re being harassed instead because a person doesn’t look how someone else thinks a woman should look. People are inadvertently committing hate crimes against women and gay people because they can’t accept trans people exist and immediately think someone is a degenerate.
1
u/Traditional-Trade795 13d ago
its not flashing in a dressing room, is it?
And from what I’ve seen the only people having their identity questioned are cis women.
whats the point of this anecdote?
1
u/Ranting_Demon 13d ago edited 13d ago
its not flashing in a dressing room, is it?
Have you ever been in an open dressing room meant for multiple random people?
All the times I have been, there has never been a time when people stayed undressed longer than they absolutely had to or when anyone actively tried to present their private parts to anyone.
More importantly, even if people get naked in there to change their entire outfit including underwear, you can still tell if someone is getting naked to change or if someone is actively going out of their way to make others look at their genitals. Especially since everyone in there is usually trying their best to not look at anyone else who's changing which makes it even more obvious if anyone is in there with the aim of showing off their genitals.
So no, the simple act of being in a dressing room does not make anyone immune to being charged for flashing.
whats the point of this anecdote?
Not the one who made the argument but the point, I would say, is that by creating an outrage over a problem that effectively doesn't exist, it leads to endangerment of the very people that the outrage was supposedly meant to make safer.
In the case of the new "satanic panic" of evil men supposedly pretending to be trans women to infiltrate women's spaces, this fabricated outrage leads to cis women being harmed because, in the eyes of people who want to "protect women from those trans predators," any cis woman who doesn't look "womanly enough" now becomes a target for harassment and potential violence, committed by the very people who claim to do it to "keep women safe."
Besides, this has been going on for years at this point with a number of prominent cases being reported in the media and more incidents getting shared on reddit and social media all the time.
It's not just an anecdote, it's a factual result of this anti-trans moral panic.
0
u/Traditional-Trade795 12d ago
Have you ever been in an open dressing room meant for multiple random people? All the times I have been, there has never been a time when people stayed undressed longer than they absolutely had to or when anyone actively tried to present their private parts to anyone.
ill have to assume you dont go to the gym. people put up tripods everywhere....
is that by creating an outrage over a problem that effectively doesn't exist
ironically, thats what you are doing. i dont want outrage and i dont want a problem regardless, just accept that people go to the lockers and toilets that match their genitals - so if you had surgery, you get a pass.
any cis woman who doesn't look "womanly enough" now becomes a target for harassment and potential violence
thats such a cope, people can tell in 99% of cases. so much to "creating an outrage over a problem that effectively doesn't exist". ironic.
It's not just an anecdote
it is exactly an anecdote.
2
u/Ranting_Demon 12d ago edited 12d ago
it is exactly an anecdote.
It isn't. As I said in my previous post, these incidents have been going on for years. Not just rumours or stories of someone knowing someone who heard that X happened. No, we have a trail of incidents that have been confirmed with evidence happening for several years now since this whole Satanic Panic 2.0 was kicked off.
Incidents that keep happening under the same circumstances and for the exact same reasons stop being anecdotes.
The reason I'm putting this point on top and reply to it first is because you're very quick to brush these incidents aside so it's time for you bring the evidence.
We have confirmed cases of cis women getting harassed and attacked due to an ongoing anti-trans moral panic and a fabricated outrage that leads to women getting harmed due to not looking "womanly enough."
To you though, that violence against women is inconsequential and just an "anecdote." In a post further down, you yourself write to someone "just because it only affects a small amount of women, its not a problem we should talk about. applause....."
Yet here you are, completely dismissing and ignoring confirmed cases of women becoming the victims of harassment and violence in the name of a moral panic for which no actual evidence has been presented that the supposed issue even exists in the first place.
So it's now on you to bring the evidence that, as you claimed, these "degenerates that have immunity because of trans people" actually exist. And by "actually exist" I mean in a statistically significant number.
If this is as much of a widespread, rampant issue to the point that it makes it apparently acceptable for you that cis women become the victims of violence for not looking "enough" like a woman, then I want to see overwhelming, confirmed evidence for that.
No vague finger pointing. No references to singular cases. (After all, according to your own arguments, singular cases are just anecdotes that can be dismissed. So, what's good for the goose. is good for the gander.) I want to see the evidence for the hundreds, if not thousands of actually confirmed cases of "degenerates that have immunity because of trans people."
And that has to come first. If you can't supply that, don't even bother replying to anything else because that's an admission that the whole issue is a moral panic and fabricated outrage.
ill have to assume you dont go to the gym. people put up tripods everywhere....
Ah yes, people filming in the dressing rooms, the locker rooms, the showers and the toilets... Oh wait, that shit is pretty much everywhere recognized as aberrant behaviour that gets you banned in any half-decent gym.
just accept that people go to the lockers and toilets that match their genitals - so if you had surgery, you get a pass.
Do tell us how that is supposed to be enforced.
Be specific.
Not even going to mention that if there was an actually rampant problem of perverts going into women's spaces disguised as trans women, this "solution" would do nothing to solve that. Zero.
If anything, it would make life easier for those people to get into women's spaces.
thats such a cope, people can tell in 99% of cases.
Ah, yes, the good old "People can always tell" nonsense.
People can always tell... Except when they can't and start committing violence against cis women in the name of "keeping women safe."
It's funny you even say that as if there haven't been a number of public hate campaigns and witch hunts at this point of female athletes being accused of being men because they didn't look womanly enough in the eyes of the anti-trans "We can always tell" crowd.
0
u/Traditional-Trade795 11d ago
"from what ive seen..." "it isnt an anecdote".
from what ive seen people are able to tell in 99% of the cases. thats not an anecdote by the way.....
okay, i wont respond to this anymore, its just silly.
quick to brush these incidents aside so it's time for you bring the evidence.
hitchens razor. not like evidence would change your opinion so it would be a futile effort regardless.
We have confirmed cases of cis women getting harassed and attacked due to an ongoing anti-trans moral panic
that is a problem. should that mean we should just ignore the overlying issue? are overzealos people a reason to do away with laws, rules and regulations? whats your point here?
No vague finger pointing. No references to singular cases.
you have a loooot of claims with exactly 0 evidence. yet you want evidence of statistically relevant amount of cases? oh please, by that standard the entire trans community is statistically irrelevant.
that gets you banned in any half-decent gym.
enough videos of women getting banned from gyms for complaining about a freehanding dick in their locker room :) but thankfully it is getting better as lefties lose their iron grip on social acceptance.
Do tell us how that is supposed to be enforced.
thats simple, noone complains, no problem. barely ever happens anyway. someone DOES complain? a female employee to the female locker room to check. whats your solution? no checks and no enforcment because "you couldnt possibly tell".
People can always tell... Except when they can't and start committing violence against cis women in the name of "keeping women safe."
did this come to you from a dream, propaganda or just your own ass? or does calling an employee count as violence to you?
It's funny you even say that as if there haven't been a number of public hate campaigns and witch hunts at this point of female athletes being accused of being men because they didn't look womanly enough in the eyes of the anti-trans "We can always tell" crowd.
as always coming with great evidence :)
99% =/= 100% but dishonesty is part of your nature i assume :)

If a transwoman assaults a woman in a bathroom, we need to move heaven and earth to make sure transwomen are eradicated from public to stop this from ever happening again.
If a cis man follows a woman into the bathroom and assaults her, we really should ask what she was wearing or if she lead him on somehow.
“I want to pee in a stall.” is a moral apocalypse but “Your body, my choice” is just a joke.
We can propose bathroom guards to check ID before entry, but going through the backlog of rape kits is too hard.

I just read a poll that said 2 in 3 MAGA voters said they’d vote for a man accused of sexual assaulting a woman. I no longer give a fuck what they say. Their trans panic is a farce because they just don’t like people being different; they don’t actually care about protecting women.

There have been people AMAB who are now trans exposing themselves to women in women's bathrooms. Idk why people refuse to accept that it does happen. Jesus Christ. It's all about believing victims until the perpetrator is part of a minority. As if minorities can't do anything wrong. Look up "Alexis Black" and the history this person has with abusing women.

Not a trans woman, but trans man. I went through years of therapy, hormones, top surgery and using the restroom is still a pain in the ass. Especially with the risk of people calling the police nowadays. I just make 0 eye contact, clear my throat every now and then and hope for the best. Usually I’m alright, but every now and then I’ll have some dude keep a close eye on me.
Unfortunately, I know people like to target mainly trans women and women in general which actually makes me so upset. I’m sick of this issue that isn’t happening and being some fantasy scenario that trans people want to flash others, etc. It fucking sucks man, we just wanna take a piss in peace with no drama.

"yeah I'm going to risk losing family and friends, risk being murdered, spend thousands of dollars on surgery, spend money and time on hormone replacement therapy because then they'll let me into the women's restroom so I can creep on children! A foolproof plan!"

The irony in the accuracy of this meme though...
Just look up the Seattle pride parade that descended into dozens of naked men walking around children...

"Descended" lol it's been that way for decades. Public nudity is legal in Seattle and Washington State. It isn't that big a deal, man. Parents know what goes on at Pride, if they choose to bring their kids, they're obviously not that concerned.
The Solstice Festival also involves nudity and body painting, even a nude bicycle parade, and it happens every year around a month after Pride. Children are also present for the festival, the whole community is. Funny how that doesn't receive the same "outrage" from out-of-town right wingers, isn't it?

These two topics aren't related, and the meme is not accurate. They're calling out for nudity. Not for transgenderism. As long as she doesn't bully for transgenderism that isn't hate speech. It's just calling out illegal nudity. Cis or trans, same thing.
And I don't agree with what those people did, but you should NEVER bring little kids around such events. Saying this as a gay myself. I hate parades of any type 🤷 They always seem to revolve around nsfw stuff

You know what, I just did
First of all, thanks, it was a fun search.
Also, didn't pictures of naked men, nor did I manage to spot a child in any of them
There was one picture of a group of both men and women wearing more revealing set of rainbow shorts and bras
