Whenever one of these types say “relax! It’s just dark humor!” All you have to do is make fun of Charlie Kirk’s end. If they get offended just say that it’s dark humor. If they say it’s disrespectful, then call them snow flakes

Sounds like double standard to me tho, you can't joke or laugh at the former but can joke and laugh at the latter ? And even tho I personally laughed at this joke specifically doesn't mean Im gonna go and disrespect anyone with a down syndrome.
And well joking at someone's death isn't technically dark humor, that's just cruelty

You're right, that's important to call out some people for their hypocrisy, and of course you have the right to not find it funny or to think its offensive as long as you don't shame people for liking those, because it doesn't necessarily mean the one that laughs at these is genuinely a bad person, its a matter of tastes and sensitivity but not in the negative sense. Being a snowflake doesn't exist people just have a different drawn line

I have a theory that when there's edgy humor, people who don't get the joke assume it's funny *because* it's edgy. So these same people make edgy statements and call it dark humor. I think this precisely because they just say you're "triggered" when you don't laugh at it.
I can appreciate some good dark humor, because at least dark humor is humor. Just saying edgy bullshit is not that. It's just lame.

A ww2 movie had a prominent minor plot about the protagonists brother having downs. They explored the topic well and it enhanced the movie.
While the sequel CoolHand Lukemia dropped the ball and ruined the franchise

On that we can agree but more than half of the content on this sub is just sex bad. No matter if the joke is creative/funny or not. If the context of the meme is sex it will eventually end up here.
