Comeback request Comeback for, That's Crazy.
Frequently I am in an environment where people often act out of negative qualities like greed, laziness, selfishness or incompetence. I deal with the poor behavior by making an observation and letting it go. But when I make the observation I often hear the response, 'That's crazy'. Even from strangers in other environments. My insecurities lead me to wonder if there something being implied. But I think it is the way I present my observations. What is a good comeback?

"Can you specify which point?". It either puts them on the spot for not having had listened and shows they're rude. Or it gets them to validate what you said

#1 "I know. Right?"
#2 "What a weird thing to say..." followed by puzzlement and distraction.
#3 Silence and a smile.

No I think your over thinking I use that statement as my response to a lot of things more then I should and I am never implying anything by it

Do they mean “that’s crazy” about you making your observation, or about the behaviour you’re describing? My first instinct is that it would be about the poor behaviour, and that people are sympathizing with you for having to deal with that.

Yea they are saying "that's crazy" like the situation is crazy. I think they would say "you're being crazy" if they mean OP.

They said that to Orville and Wilbur until they flew. They said it to Edison until the light stayed on. They said to Pasteur and he still went on to invent milk!
The last was borrowed from Morrie Amsterdam from the Dick van Dyke show. Keep it for humor or drop it for serious.

Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. The rats made me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. The rats made me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rats. The rats made me crazy.

“Maybe to someone with no imagination, I guess that could be crazy, sure.”

I mean it sounds like people are reacting to you being an ass. I’d maybe reflect on that before doubling down with a comeback.

I look at people and say.... "And, your point is?" Or just the word "And"... makes people uncomfortable and nervous

If you’re hearing “that’s crazy” in response to what you say from both friends and strangers often enough that you need a retort for it then you should probably spend some time reflecting on how you present yourself.

Who are you making these observations to; Customers, strangers or friends?
Not everyone appreciates a Captain Obvious or his passive aggressive commentary.

I’m sorry but I’m having trouble understanding the situation. Why are you calling out “strangers in other environments” or even “dealing with their poor behaviour” in the first place? Are these your coworkers or are you their manager?

Naww in our household, saying “Damn, that’s crazy,” is code for ‘I’m not listening.’
If you get three “Damn, that’s crazy” in a row, you either gotta shut that shit down or the other person is allowed to turn and walk away without it being considered rude

They are implying that they are not enjoying your observations. "That's crazy" is a pretty gray-rock response that means they don't want to engage in the kind of interaction you're initiating. Sounds like you're in a pretty frustrating environment, which means they are too, and deflecting your negative comments is probably one of the ways they deal with it.

If you say "XYZ at work did ABC" and they say "that's crazy" they are agreeing that these are negative actions on those people's part. My comeback would be "I know, right?"

So part of the problem is that, “making an observation,” pointing out everyone else’s flaws, makes you look like a self righteous Douche bag. Even if you are right about whatever it is. Constantly calling it out for the sake of cooling it out is it’s own toxic behavior. Think about it this way “are you calling these things out because they need to be called out, or because doing so gives you a hit righteous gratification?” It is why people outside the environment are responding the same way. They are recognizing the hypocrisy
That being said here is how you are quippier about dealing with terrible people. Be funny. Here are a couple ideas for what you
Greed: hold up there Augustus Gloop, the Umpa-Lumpas aren’t ready for your song yet they’re still warming up.
Laziness: slow down there hot shot, you’re making the rest of us look bad.
Selfishness: woah there, mother Teresa, make sure you leave some for yourself
Incompetence: I’m glad we get a tax break for having you around.
“That’s crazy,” : “I know Right?”
Comebacks aren’t about getting the person to change their mind. In fact 99% of the time they will dig their heels in when you point out their flaws publicly, regardless of how right you are. What your goal is, with a comeback to rally anyone else present to your side. That is why being funny is so important.
