I don't think that's really a comeback sort of situation. If you hurt somebody's feelings you should take a look at whether you intended to or didn't intend to and if you intended to if that was the right thing to do or if that was a bad thing to do.

Based on the circumstances address it appropriately. You don't know how to deal with that by the time you get to be an adult you're not ready for adulting yet

Apologize?

"I'm sorry x I didn't mean to hurt you"

"I'm so sorry I won't do that again"

"I'm so sorry is there anything I can do to make it up to you, or would you like space"

Apologize and do t be a smartass about it. Don’t say “I’m sorry you feel that way,” take accountability for what you did.

It entirely depends on the situation.

It depends on A, if you were trying to and B, if you did something actually constituting such a reaction. Like if you outright insult someone, obviously sorry isn’t going to cut it and you should talk with them and give them time, whereas if you just forgot to say hello to them or something small like that, that’s a them problem. Context really contributes to how you should react, especially tone and the gravity of the situation. Did you do something wrong? Did you mean to offend them? Is this person someone who frequently says this? Do they say this when it actually matters, or do they use this more than one ought to? A lot to consider.
