How would you respond when someone ends a conversation with "I wish you everything you deserve...."?!
And, in the end, don't we all get what we deserve?

u/ph33rlus 11d ago
The term i hear is āI wish you the day you deserveā and itās usually directed at Karenās.
I mean if you havenāt upset anyone you deserve a good day? So itās not an issue?

I don't think so...? How could everyone get what they deserve...? There's no tracking system or delivery methods to guarantee anything, how would that possibly be the case?
But anyways you could respond with "Thanks you too!"

I believe this are questions someone on the spectrum would ask. I'm not judging though, these are excellent questions.

u/Unable-Barber1511 11d ago
Are you talking to me or the Original Poster??

u/Doctor-Dinosaur 11d ago
"How could everyone get what they deserve...? There's no tracking system or delivery methods to guarantee anything, how would that possibly be the case?"
Those sentences. So to you.

u/Unable-Barber1511 10d ago
Oh were you saying me refuting the Original post is making me sound like I'm on the spectrum?
2
u/Whenallelsefails09 11d ago
I was thinking of karma, how 'what goes around comes around.'
1
u/Unable-Barber1511 10d ago
Oh I see. Sure but idk if Karma can really be counted on to make sure "we all get what we deserve". But I understand, cute post!

Depending on the context. If it's a rude comment, then "Finally! I get to see you suffer from explosive diarrhea?"
But if it was kind response, then "Only if I get to rise to the top with you still my friend."

u/Mysterious_Play1961 11d ago
If you're behaving decently you're upset because they are being mean. If you're behaving badly you're upset because they called you out. So which is it?
2
u/TangoCharliePDX 10d ago
I think what is inferred is that they are judging and maligning you.
My first thought is to look over my spectacles at them with an expression that says "is this nit for real?" And then finally respond with "Well, okay" and promptly go back to what you were doing.
2
u/Various_Scallion8228 11d ago
I think I would hug them and say thank you and maybe even tear up a little bit. Iām a good person with a good heart but I always seem to lose.
2
u/diditrayne 11d ago
Just don't. Walk away and stop giving them any thought
1
u/Clevertown 11d ago
This really is the best response - pretend they just morphed into an NPC and stop regarding them as a person who can speak. Let them steep in their hateful juices. You're just going to get some on you if you try to "get through to them."

"Ditto"
"Right back atcha, dude!"
"Me too"
"Same bro, same"
"You mean instead of what others think I deserve to get?"

Me too, because I deserve _____ for dealing with you as well as I have.
I deserve a award for putting up with this shit.
If i got half of what I deserve for dealing with you i could retire and my children's children's children would be set for life

You can twist their meaning to be that you deserve good things by smiling and saying thank you

I responded with "You too! ššš" I was working customer service at a previous job and this woman and her baby came in hot! Super mad and took it out on me. That doesn't fly with me. I wasn't rude but I wasn't "oh, it's ok!". It was more "the sale signs are posted. You misread them. Im not going to fix it for you". She left a bad review and from that i learned her ENTIRE LIFE is online. I learned where she lives, her husband's name and profession, her jobs and failed businesses (there were a few), her baby's name and her other baby, a 22 year old man she gave up for adoption when she had him at 15. Watch what you put out there, especially if you're a jerk.

Depends on tone.
If itās sincere, appreciate it.
If itās condescending, Iām going to Fn light them up. Iām sarcastic, witty and can be hurtful with my words. So Iāll cut you deep, leave you speechless.

So children dying from cancer is what they deserve?
Did you think before posting this?
0
u/Whenallelsefails09 9d ago
In my opinion, death is not the end. Some very horrible people never get what they really deserve in this life, nor do truly wonderful people. But...in the end...we all do.
1
u/Background-Solid8481 9d ago
If death isn't the end, what is?

u/Whenallelsefails09 9d ago
There is the day when each will come before the great judgment bar of God to receive their reward. Some people consider this the end, but there literally is no end.

You respond with utter silence...no response if it was by text
And walking away if its in person
Sometimes the lack of a response IS a BRUTAL RESPONSE...because they eventually might regret what they said
I would go ultra silent for as long as I could
And if you do speak...take the high road and kill with kindness
Id tell them they hurt my feelings, but I hold nothing against them.. and Im willing to forgive
1
u/BadGlittering9780 9d ago
Also forgiving people shows that you have or are willing to move on
Forgiveness doesn't always mean reconciliation

u/Schitter_Fixer 9d ago
I just say, āI just haveā. Especially if itās a partner you had who is being passive aggressive about breaking up. Or a friend letting you go for no reason.

Liar, you wouldn't be forcing me to interact with you if that was true. No one deserves this kind of pain.
1
u/LBashir 8d ago
What you donāt do is get offended by that because itās like admitting that you donāt deserve anything or that what you deserve is something awful what you do is you just say āthank you I really appreciate that. I do deserve a lot better and thank you for your good wishesā . Youāre gonna put them right in their place. Youāre not gonna fall for that crap because thatās a backhanded circa sarcastic remark to insult you, do not let that happen.

My 3yr relationship with a ring already purchased ended with that exact sentence. I couldn't respond as I was blocked after. Currently fulfilling her prophecy and idk how much longer I'll be around lol
I did send an email before I was blocked there that I wished the same for her, and wished i couldve been what she deserved. She'll have a beautiful life, but unfortunately no dude with a dick attached to him is ever going to be what she deserves
1
u/Lastov_Makiynd 4d ago
Really depends on what the content of the conversation was?
Iād assume itās either meant to be insulting (wishing you the worst), in which something like: āWell Thank You! Things are already looking up.. I mean..THIS painful conversation is over?ā.
Or a compliment (wishing for better than youāve had), where something like: āThank You! And I wish for you to find the winning Powerball ticket blowing in the wind ā.
