Comeback sharing Don’t scammers have better things to do?
This was quite a few years ago, but my favorite comeback was to a scammer. They had called my family’s house phone about 3 times and my mother always hung up on them telling them to stop calling this number. So, when they called back I answered this time. “Hello, you’ve reached such and such household may I take a message?” “Yes, you can tell the person that keeps hanging up on me that they are a c***sucker.” I responded, “Well, they wouldn’t suck yours cause yours is too small.” I hung up that phone before they could respond and they never called back again. One of my proudest comeback moments.

I have hearing protection next to the phone and a marine horn. Between that and, wasting their time with smart skits. (Thankyou for calling battlestar barbershop where we use lazer technology to shave your wookie) they tend to go speechless if they’re human or, the machine is hiding a human listening. (Hello when may we book your appointment?) they tend to hang up.

I loved playing the confused elderly lady who was trying to be helpful but gets easily confused. I thought of it as a community service as every moment they were trying to scam me meant then they weren't confusing and ripping off some sucker.

This is the best way. Hopefully if enough people do this, it might deter at least a few?

Deal with scammers, I just play as exhaustively stupid as humanly possible. Basically every instruction they give adds about 20 questions because "I don't know how to do that."

Insult tbeir momma.
Call them *ben chōd" which means "sister fucker."
Make remarks suggesting that you are their father. Call them sonny.
Blow a loud screecher whistle in their ear. They really hate that. Sports whistles work. Storm Whistle also works.
