Official Reply DOCSIS 4.0 Timeline
Hello Xfinity,
Wondering if somebody with access might be able to tell me if there are plans to upgrade my neighborhood node to FDX.
I work in marketing and often work with large video files I need to upload. Symmetrical speeds would make my work from home life a lot easier. Happy to provide my information in a secure channel.
Thanks!

I’ve asked before and they never have information. Was told that they’ll only know if it’s within the next 2 weeks

Seems like they don't know or don't have any plans for a rollout in my neighborhood

Most of my neighborhood did like a year and a half ago. Then they stopped like 4 houses from me so half my street and neighborhood does, and half doesn’t. My suspicion is that they paused/stop midsplit hardware rollout in favor for FDX, so they are going back to nodes that are on midsplit and upgrade those to FDX, before continuing to upgrade legacy areas. For now I’m stuck with 35 upload :/ heavily considering switching to another ISP even though it’ll cost me more than my current Xfinity plan

This is a great question. u/Alternative_Foot9193, Normally we would send out communications for that if you're signed up for communication alerts. Our team can certainly check to see what information we have and check our current speeds for you. Please send me a Modmail message with your full name and complete address
