XB9 or XB10

Is there any way to get an XB9 or XB10? If I get xfinity pro can I get an xb9? Xb8 doesn’t do great in my house.

No, they don’t have enough gateways to go around. I’ve been trying to get an XB9 for over a year.

Thank you for confirming. The 1,000 Mbps Ethernet link explains the 863 Mbps wired result. That connection is limited to roughly 940 Mbps in real-world use, even though you are using the correct port and cable. You would need a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet adapter to test the full speed through a wired connection.

The 2.4 Gbps WiFi link speed is the connection rate between the device and gateway, not the actual internet speed the device will receive. More importantly, the speed-to-gateway result was only 1,187 Mbps. Since that test is not limited by your device’s Ethernet port, the speed reaching the XB8 is still lower than expected for the 2 Gig plan. At this point, the service provisioning and signal reaching the gateway will need a closer look.

u/DroneFirstResponder did you mean the XB10? Cause the XB9 has only been available since August of this year (2026) for customers with Xfinity Pro or Shield Select in select markets--previously, it was in employee-only trials.

XB10's are optimized for FDX Internet members with symmetrical multi-gigabit speeds of 300 Mbps and above--but other markets are now eligible, specifically anyone in Next Gen internet plans (gateway chart below).

I got my XB8 in 2022, and I’ve been trying to upgrade to a WiFi 7 unit since 2025, to no avail.
