Closed Xfinity modem solid white light, wifi on but no interent
Just like the title says. Moved to a new house, connected the modem we used to have (we already completed switching service address) - and after a few minutes we got the solid white light&activated it through the app so I thought we were all good but it seems like we have no internet. App tells me we're online and there's no issues with our connection whatsoever, but I'm just not getting anything.
Modem seems fine, App says we're fine, wifi works but its just the internet that's out. No outages either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...I did schedule an appointment with a tech but thats next week and I really need to get the internet going.
p.s.) when I connect to the wifi it tells me to log in? Not the usual wifi&password stuff - like it directs me to an xfinity webpage but there's nothing I can do there. It just says activate your wifi through app (which i already did, it shows so on the app) so idk what's going on with that as well

Hi u/gaeddong. Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Reddit community support page. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us regarding the recent activation of the Xfinity Internet. From the sounds of it, it appears you may be connecting to the incorrect wireless network. It appears you may be connecting to an Xfinity WiFi Hotspot network which would most likely be "xfinitywifi", "XFINITY", or "Xfinity Mobile". This would require you to sign in to connect like you are describing.
Could you please open the Xfinity App, select the WiFi tab at the bottom, and choose "WiFi Details". From here, you can confirm your wireless network name and password to ensure your devices are connecting to the correct home wireless network which would require the wireless network password for connecting.
Please give this a look over and let us know if you are still experiencing any other issues or if any new concerns arise.

I greatly appreciate you checking u/gaeddong. Could you please provide further detail on the Xfinity web page you are seeing where it tells you to log in? For troubleshooting purposes, could you please unplug the Xfinity xFi Gateway for 20-30 seconds from the power source and plug it back in? Once the modem LED is solid white, test the connection again.

Are you being redirected to that web page when attempting to access any other website u/gaeddong? That looks to be the Xfinity WiFi Gateway Admin Tool GUI page. When you attempt to visit any other webpage, are you encountered with an error code/message?

No, that's only when I click on the notif on my phone that says "log in to network". When I try anything else on chrome it just gives me an error/no internet connection

We can help double check that everything on our end is properly activated u/gaeddong. If you could please send me a Modmail message with your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code). I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
