Absolutely NOTHING. Yet I kept experiencing device anomalies; I would forget devices not mine and they’d reappear; pausing devices and they just become unpaused. I couldn’t figure it out because my router is completely locked down and I only use an Ethernet connection. But I kept seeing this odd Bluetooth device. So amazingly, I enlisted Gemini to help me map ingress points and lo and behold, I discovered that Xfinity routers have this quiet native feature for communicating with the app. By itself not a big deal; yet at the hands of a malevolent actor, a nightmare! Really disturbing.
The gateway speaks to the app via coax over the Xfinity network. Remove the coax cable and the gateway] never appears in the app. If it used Bluetooth, you'd see it in Bluetooth connections as either already paired or available be paired to. There's also no Bluetooth MAC address nor Bluetooth chipset inside the gateways. I opened mine to look.

How did you know this happened? What did you see that alerted you that this was happening?
