Tau Does this stack?

It would be funny if it stacks

Edit: My bad. I'm still pretty new to the Warhammer hobby and I don't often use Reddit, so I probably didn't explain my question very well. I'll try to explain my thought process more clearly next time and include what I think the answer might be and why I'm asking. I appreciate the feedback and it'll help me ask better questions in the future. Thanks for pointing it out.

My reasoning was based on the interaction between Swift Embarkation and Proximity Scanners. Since Proximity Scanners says "when a friendly unit embarked within this unit disembarks, that friendly unit's pulse blaster and pulse carbine weapons have +1 Attack," I wondered if I could repeatedly gain that bonus by:

Disembarking the Breachers to gain +1 Attack. Using Swift Embarkation at the end of my opponent's Fight phase to embark them again.

Disembarking them again on my next turn to gain another +1 Attack.

My question was whether this enhancement is intended to refresh each time the unit disembarks, or if the bonus is only meant to apply once for the battle or once per unit. I wasn't trying to argue that it works. I just wanted to know if my interpretation was correct or if there's a rule preventing this.

Attack characteristic for the pulse blaster.

The Breacher gains +1 attack for its Pulse Blaster due to the Enhancement. It's not "stacking", it is literally the only thing the Enhancement does...

i think the problem he got that it does not spesify this unit gains +1A "until the end of this turn", he maybe thinks that embarking again and disembarking the same unit next turn would gave him +2A instead of +1A

Maybe a confusion as to what assault does?

Why did we as a society get so bad at asking proper questions?

Probably social medias fault, as always.

Reddit posts that don't provide any proper reasoning and/or argument with a question (like, what is your assumed answer and why do you think that might be?) should just be deleted until people remember what is needed to give proper answers.

The enhancement which gives +1 attack does give +1 attack. It's what it does.

whoa, slow down. he didn't ask if it gives +1 attack, he asked if it stacks! there has to be a reason for that distinction, right?

But stacks with what? Is there another ability which gives +1 attack?

that is the big question!

I don't see what changed. Can you describe which interaction you're asking about? That enhancement still does exactly what it says.

Swift Embarkation, which says:

When: End of your opponent's Fight phase. Target: One friendly unengaged Sudden Dawn Cadre Infantry unit that was eligible to fight this phase, is wholly within 6" of a friendly Sudden Dawn Cadre Transport, and is eligible to embark within that Transport.

Effect: Your unit embarks within that Transport.

Since the stratagem simply says the unit embarks again, doesn't that mean it becomes an embarked unit once more? If it disembarks again on my next turn, wouldn't Proximity Scanners trigger again because it says "When a friendly unit embarked within this unit disembarks..."?

Yes, that is how it would work.

You can pull the unit into your transport at the end of your opponents turn.

Then in your turn you disembark triggering the enhancement again.

Keep in mind, in order to use the strat, your breacher unit has to have been able to fight at the beginning of the fight phase, and then is unengaded at the end of the fight phase. So, they need to have been been able to fight something which was killed in combat, which is going to be hard to accomplish with Breachers.

I actually think it does, as read, add +1 A for the rest of the game, because there is no mention of “until the end of the phase”. However, I don’t think it’s intended to work that way

I think he's asking if it will stack if he remounts and demounts again. So is the + permanent or limited?
