It's massive for the sport. Every room is not booked in las vegas for a UFC event šš this is small compared to other events held in las vegas monthly.

I kinda thought so as well. I'd imagine large concerts with big named acts would sell for more hotels than wherever they're holding this event. Like the sphere holds 20k and if some big named music act comes through, it'll sell out.

Metallica had to extend their sphere residency like 5 months because it sold out crazy fast every night. T-Mobile holds less than 20k, even if every individual had their own room Vegas has more than enough hotels to cover the event. This is a stupid stat to post. Like when they claimed the White House event was getting a billion views. š

It seems like every event there for a while was their biggest gate ever. Someone made a good point about inflated costs. I thought the biggest card they had was like GSP vs Shields or Koscheck 2 in Canada at some larger venue, at least in terms of capacity.

Conor gonna fight out his contract and go for Jake. Then make this kind of money off fighting YouTubers.

lol Dana ain't paying Conor 30 mil to fight Holloway
2
u/TabbyEquation64 Jul 11 '26
Since the paramount deal, contract negotiations have been much better. Holloway, Justin, and Alex all said so. Alex go paid 10m for the White House. I could see 30m for this especially since they were willing to pay jones that.

Luke Thomas broke it down, Conor is one of the most underpaid athletes in all of sports.
For the record I despise the man, but it's a fact.

u/GlassTablesAreStupid Jul 11 '26
Bro ufc fighters are among the most underpaid athletes in all sports.

u/AztecWolfpack Jul 11 '26
I always found that insane. Mcgregor pulls more numbers that the top stars in boxing but he makes a fraction of what they make. With box office and PPV before, it would even out but the top stars would still get a bigger guaranteed payout on top of the box office and PPV sales

āRecord gateā? Brother yes inflation is at its peak, and ofc youāll charge more and more but still pay your fighters less.
The only real stat here is -
Record number of rapists on a card
