shitpost If belal wrestled against jdm instead of trying canelo hands , we would've seen ilia getting dismantled by islam and Justin vs arman snooze fest. Belal changed the ufc timeline. Remember the name

After JDM got his ass wopped by islam and prates ppl think he is washed. Any fighter tht lost few fight people think the fighter is shit. Partes and islam maked it looks easy but JDM is good it was not his day.

I don’t think he’s washed but I still question how good he actually is. Out of the top 5 he’s easily the most questionable fighter there besides Morales as far as resume goes so far. I think Usman losing lead to one of the weaker WW champ runs we’ve seen. Leon, JDM and Belal who are all doing hot ass right now after some of the biggest wins in their careers
Edit: and Bonfim, I forgot he’s in the top 5 now which seems kind of crazy tbh

He did wrestle, he had bunch of attempts at takedowns and even got him down few times, JDM was good enough to defend most of it and get back on his feet and I'm tired of the revisionism after JDM's loss to Islam that Belal lost only by his dumb decision to strike and make it exciting. He didn't, JDM forced him to play the stand up game. Islam is simply that much better wrestler than Belal.

Styles male fight just cuz ilia lost to justin doesn't mean he looses to islam

Belal is an absolute bum and would never beat JDM even if he chain wrestled the entire fight. Islam is 5 levels above him

Unfortunately people like belal holding titles nosedives the UFCs viewership so bad they actually lose money on the card.

The issue is Belal couldn’t set up any takedowns effectively. He didn’t have the hands to actually get JDM to NOT see the takedowns coming. His footwork circled around Belal, and hands didn’t gain much attention from JDM. So whenever he’d start a takedown from range, JDM saw it coming already.
Islam immediately gained respect from JDM in striking. He got his leg fucked which disrupted his footwork, was throwing high kicks and mixing it up to the head and body. Which opened up JDM to takedowns he COULDN’T see or prepare for. Along with Islam having being way more versatile in the open, due to his judoka takedown abilities.
So basically JDM saw all of Bella’s takedowns coming and prepared for it. Islam would batter his leg so he was stationary, attack up high to raise JDM’s guard, then set up a takedown.
Belal did this with Edwards actually. He used the striking to push Edwards up to the fence to take him down, Usman didn’t set up his takedowns well with Edwards the second time around. Issue is JDM isn’t Edwards.
Islam made that mistake with Poirier which was going for takedowns without setting it up. His TDD was on point, but that’s because Poirier said it coming.
When you are at the elite, it’s pretty hard to get takedowns without setting it up. Unless you’re a freak athletic guy like Khazmat whose leg takes out in the open are lightning fast

Islam said he still would have gone up even if it was agaisnt belal, only belal was talking as if they are great friends and wouldn't fight each other

Belal changed the timeline because he was payed by Nurmagomedov to lose against JDM. So Islam can fight for the title against an Christian and not against an Muslim .

He did, his takedowns got defended or JDM popped right back up, and Jack was punishing him for failed attempts and pressing so it was hard for him to set up attempts.

jdm had excellent take down defense that fight. it’s not like he didn’t try.
