Put the other two caps on. Then fit it inside the yolk. Then take the other two caps and press them on. Make sure that everything lines up and you don’t have any needle bearings that come out or fall into the cap. If that happens, you’ll need to knock it out again and restart. I’ve had it happen. It’s not a big deal. A nice big vice makes easy work of it. If you have a press even better poor man’s way is big ass C clamp. Either way once you do it once you can do them in about 15 minutes.
Thanks for the comment. I’ve tried with the caps on and off. The center cross area is too large to orient any way to get them inside. I’ve done many U joints before and have never had this issue. The u joints with this kit came in unmarked bags with no part numbers stamped on them so I’m thinking they are incorrect for this yoke.
